The Mount Washington Cog Railway is a narrated 3-Hour round trip train ride to the summit of Mount Washington on a historic and awe-inspiring railway. Averaging around 1 hour each way, you have 60 minutes to explore and take in the Summit of Mount Washington, including the Sherman Adams Visitor Center. Inside the Visitor Center is a museum, post office, small snack bar and 360° views of the surrounding areas including up to 5 states, Canada and the Atlantic Ocean!

Experience a fabulous wine tasting and tour of Hermit Woods Winery located near the shores of Lake Winnepesaukee in Meredith, NH.  This is one of NH’s little gems.  They were recently Voted 4th Best Tasting Room in America in USA Today’s Readers Poll and were also listed in Food & Wine Magazines 500 Best Wineries in America.  Not bad considering all the vineyards out in California they compete with.   

 After earning his fortune in the shoe industry at the turn of the 20th century, Tom Plant focused his attention on the Ossipee Mountains in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. In 1913-1914, Tom and his wife Olive built a unique and stunning country estate, which they called Lucknow. The property spanned 6,300 acres and featured a 16-room Arts and Crafts mansion, stable and six car garage, two gate houses, a greenhouse, a golf course and tennis court, a man-made lake, a boathouse on Lake Winnipesaukee, and miles of carriage and bridle trails. For several years the Plants enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle at Lucknow, with state-of-the-art amenities, beautiful hand-made furnishings, and a large staff to run the estate.  Our included tour provides us access to see the estate and grounds of the Lucknow estate - now known as Castle in the Clouds.

A Deposit of $50pp, plus insurance premium (if selected) is due upon registration to confirm your reservation.  Travel Insurance: We recommend your purchase of optional travel insurance.  This optional travel insurance is per person and the premium is based on the overall trip cost.  Travelers MUST purchase the plan at the time of initial deposit.  Coverage will not be in place unless your full Deposit is received.   Cancellation schedule and fees are in place regardless of cancellation reason (including, but not limited to, force majeure, health pandemics or government restrictions).  Travel Insurance Premium is also Non-Refundable regardless of cancellation reason.   Payment in full must be received by September 1st, 2022 or this may result in an automatic cancellation.   Please note:  All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to Best of Times Travel.  The date of cancellation is deemed to be the date received by Best of Times Travel.  Cancellation Charges for this programs are as follows:  Cancellations from date of booking until 9/1/2022 have no cancellation fee.   Cancellations from 9/2/2022 until 10/1/2022 will be assessed a cancellation fee of 75% of the total fare.  Cancellations after 10/1/2022 will receive no refund, 100% of the total fare.  Best of Times Travel is not responsible for any refunds over and above said amount.  Best of Times Travel reserves the right to issue any refunds, in whole or in part, in the form of future travel credit.
