About your trip

Explore these 2 exciting "Rail Trails" on a 41-mile "1-way" ride from Cockeysville MD back to the Expo.  Total duration should be between 4 and 6 hours depending on how much you stop and explore along the way.

Departing from the Airstream Rally at 8am from the York Expo Center, we will transport you to the start of the 21-mile Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail in Cockeysville, MD.  This is the route of the old Northern Central Railway which ran between Baltimore MD and Sunbury PA; one of the oldest rail lines in the Country.

You will cycle thru historic railroad burbs taking in nature and the natural beauty of this car-free rail-trail.  Along the way, be sure to stop in at the Monkton Station visitors center where we will set up a water-stop for our cyclists.  The route continues to the Mason-Dixon line where it becomes the "York County Heritage Rail Trail" in Pennsylvania.

The Heritage Rail Trail continues another 19 miles back to our camp with ample lunch stops along the way in Glen Rock.

The ride is "Self-Paced" with a sag support vehicle in case of mechanical issues or if you just need a break.
