Take on the ultimate challenge at the Manchester Tough Mudder 5K, held at the Cheshire Showground on Saturday 10th October in support of Age UK Cheshire!

Participants will tackle mud, obstacles, and miles of grit—all to help raise vital funds for older people across the county. It’s a day packed with teamwork, determination, and plenty of muddy smiles, making every step (and every splash!) truly worthwhile.

Tough Mudder is famed for it's incredibly creative, large-scale obstacles and the 5K event features no fewer than 15 of these - including 'Well Swung', Electric Eel and 'Shawshanked'.

The challenge remains the ultimate test of stamins, strength and mental grit. But it's also great fun and seriously rewarding. Have you got what it takes?

Every pound you raise helps us:

• Tackle loneliness and isolation

• Support older people facing poverty

• Bridge the digital divide

• Reach those living in rural communities

• Provide trusted information and life-changing support

Older people in Cheshire are being forgotten. Rising poverty, digital exclusion, and rural isolation are creating a perfect storm of loneliness for thousands of older people across our county.

Age UK Cheshire is the only local charity dedicated to supporting older people across the whole of Cheshire. We provide a vital lifeline, ensuring people in later life can access the information, advice, and practical support they need to live with dignity and independence.

By taking on Tough Mudder and fundraising for us, you are standing up for those who built the world we now live in. When you fundraise for Age UK Cheshire, you’re not just raising money — you’re raising hope, connection, and dignity.
