In this tour you will get to know the ancestral culture of one of our country’s indigenous communities. After breakfast you will travel to Otavalo and visit the Peguche waterfall, this 30 meter high and 6 meter wide waterfall is formed on steep slopes. With a cozy environment and well defined trails, this place calls us to spend moments of relaxation in the company of friends and family, adicioal is the ceremonial center for the ritual of purification. Here the dancers from various community’s bathe in its waters starting at 8pm before starting the dances.
Following this visit, enjoy a cultural tour visiting communities around Otavalo, getting to know the customs and traditions of local Kichwa families, families that are dedicated to making crafts and clothing using materials such as sheep and alpaca wool. We will visit an indigenous family in San Rafael to observe the artisan work with the natural fiber of the plant called “totora”.
