This   morning you will meet your expert local historian guide to explore the   beautiful city of Antigua. This former capital boasts an impressive catalogue   of colonial relics in a magnificent setting. Streetscapes of pastel facades   unfold beneath three volcanoes. Many old religious and civic structures are   beautifully renovated, while others retain tumbledown charm, with fragments   strewn about park-like grounds.
 

You will have the afternoon free to continue exploring Antigua including   more time to visit local markets.

Today   we will go to Guatemala City to catch our domestic flight (included) to   Flores in the north of Guatemala. Private transfer will take you to your   hotel.

After lunch, In the afternoon a private transfer will take you to the Yaxha   mayan city to take a sunset tour to admire the temples of this mayan city.   Yaxhá is a Classic Period Maya site, is located between the lakes of Sacnab   and Yaxhá.

 
The Mayan name of the city is evident in the emblem glyph (representing the   head of a parrot) and reads like Yax (Green-Blue), has (water). The site has   more than 500 structures, including 40 stelae, 13 altars, nine pyramids, 2   golf ball game and a network of sacbeob (roads), which connect the Central   Acropolis, North (Maler) and East. In the Plaza C, is the only twin pyramid   complex outside of Tikal ally, which commemorates a Katun, or 20-year period.   The Causeway Lake 80 meters long and is considered the official entry in the   old City, connecting it to Lake Yaxhá.

After the tour we will stop in El Remate city to eat dinner in a local   restaurant and stay in our local hotel.

Today   after the brekfast, the guide and driver will pick you up to take you the   Natioal park of Tikal. You will spend the day with your expert guide   exploring this vast complex of temples and pyramids until late in the   afternoon. We will enjoy lunch in the park among the tropical sights and   sounds.
 

In the afternoon you will have time to explore on your own and then spend   another evening in Tikal Inn hotel.

Departure   to Sayaxché in the morning to the nearest city to get to Ceibal. 

Upon arrival we will take a boat to cross “La Pasión” river to get to the   site of Ceibal. 

“La Ceiba” is a huge   tree, which was considered sacred for the Mayas. This place was considered the largest Maya   settlement of the Late Classic Period. You´ll have a very entertaining walk through the rainforest to reach   the main plaza where you can appreciate its beautifully preserved temples and   temples. We will drive to Coban to find our hotel for tonight int he   beautiful village of Lanquin. 

You can go to eat lunch on your own since the hotels and restaurants are in   a fear walk distance to choose for one of the restaurants or bars to have a   drink.

 Breakfast   at hotel, then meet your guide and get ready your day bagpack for today   activity.
 

Time to pack up our gear and head over to the ridges to the isolated 8th   wonder of the world, Semuc Champey. Here we will bask in the pools until your   hearts content, enjoying the sun and turquoise waters. A picnic lunch at the   pools tops off our decadence before we head back to our next hotel to collect   our caving gear again. The cave of Can Ba is a water cave, so prepare for a   wet and slippery trip into the underworld. Breakfast, lunch and hotel   included.

 Today   we will transfer you very early in the morning at 6:00am to Guatemala   city to stay in the city and explore   the capital of Guatemala and historical center. The capital is full of histories regarding   the civil war that long for 36 years. Hotel in the city tonigh in a very clasic hotel. Overnight: Guatemala city.

Today   we will move from the capital to Lake Atitlan. Depending on day (Thursday or sunday) we   can stop in a Chichicastengo market. we wil visit at this very   traditional mayan village to apprecaite the culture and textile market that   will happen on Sundays morninngs. we   will stay at Santiago Atitlan area, one of the most popular places in the   shadows of the lake. Overnight: Santiago Atitlan.

 Today   we will have the chance to explore the area in a descent hike to Natinal park   Tepepul. We will walk to see from a   distance the national bird QUETZAL. It is a bird of long tail and very   delicate; of green feathers like the weeds where it inhabits, with blue hues   like the sea. His chest is red and gives the impression he had it on the   outside.. We will have a fair walking   in the morning to see diferent birds that live in this area. Overnight: Santiago Atitlan.
