About this trip

EL JUNCO

Is one of the scenic points of interest on this route. You can climb to the top of a crater occupied by a lagoon. Vegetation covers the slope

Next stop in the GALAPAGUERA, the San Cristóbal tortoise species are similar to the Long-necked George Solitaire, which allows them to rummage through the branches to eat leaves and fruit.

As in the Darwin Center in Santa Cruz, in this center they also carry out incubation of eggs to facilitate the repopulation of the species. Turtles of different ages can be seen, from tiny hatchlings to adult species. At five years old they are ready to be released into the wild.

PUERTO CHINO

Is a beautiful beach his site is an excellent place to swim in the cool water or for relaxing on the white-sanded beach. Behind the beach you will find mangroves that are home to some the famous Galapagos finches, such as ground fiches and Darwin finches.

We had a great outdoor day on the boat to discover different areas around San Cristobal. The boat crew and the guide were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable in every aspect! I definitely recommend this tour if you’re traveling to Galapagos archipelago.

The gentleman who came to our room to take out samples for our test was nice and professional. Dont know who dropped the ball on our test results but took multiple calls to finally get our copies of results.

The tour to Quilatoa was wonderful. Our guide, Carlos, was knowledgeable and gave us a wealth of information about the area. He was great.

Our tour guide, Mariam was fabulous. Her English is excellent, she is well informed and has a great sense of humor. But I wasn't overly impressed with this tour to be honest. The trip to the market was fine - lots to shop for there. But the stop at the cafe on the way for a picture was not necessary (except to use the bathroom) and the boat ride was kind of boring. We did enjoy the lunch location as the food was very good but that was not included on the tour price. I think the price for the tour is too high for what you get - it's a very long day in a car and then you are stuck in traffic coming back to Quito. If a tourist just wants to shop the trip should be less money and not include the boat ride and leave earlier in order to beat the traffic in Quito.
