The Huaorani known in some cases as Waorani or Waodani and also called Waos, are Amerindians who are of native origin from the Amazon region of Ecuador located in the provinces of Napo, Orellana and Pastaza that have strong differences with respect to other ethnic groups of their own Ecuador. Currently, temporary population migrations still persist and other communities are sedentary. Their economy is subsistence in temporary orchards, in addition to hunting, fishing and fruit gathering.
