Experience an exciting adventure on the majestic Lake Titicaca with our Kayak Tour to the Floating Islands of the Uros, an experience that combines nature, adventure, and culture. We'll paddle from Esteves Island to the traditional floating islands, enjoying beautiful landscapes, the lake's biodiversity, and the iconic totora reeds, while learning about the history, customs, and way of life of the Uros people, always accompanied by a professional instructor and a safety boat.
7:00 a.m. Pick-up from central hotels in Puno or meeting point, to transfer to Esteves Island, starting point of our kayaking experience.
Upon arrival at the island, our professional instructor will provide safety instructions and guidance on how to use the kayak correctly. We will also receive all the necessary professional equipment to ensure a safe experience.
We will begin paddling towards the Floating Islands of the Uros, a journey of approximately one hour.
During the trip, we will enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca and observe its biodiversity, including its flora and fauna. We will also have the opportunity to see and touch the totora reeds, essential for the construction and preservation of the traditional floating islands of the Uros.
We will arrive at the floating islands, where the local people will warmly welcome us. Our guide will explain the history, culture, customs, and way of life of this fascinating ancestral community.
After exploring the islands and interacting with the locals, we will begin our return to Puno.
We will conclude our tour with the transfer back to the hotels, bringing this unforgettable experience on Lake Titicaca to a close.
