The first stop on the Cabo Rosa Tunnels tour is a point called Union Rock in the middle of the sea. At this rock located in the open sea we will be able to observe pelicans, Nazca Boobies and Blue-footed Boobies and the occasional sea lion resting or sunbathing on the rocks.
After spotting the boobies, we will continue sailing for 45 minutes towards Los Túneles. These tunnels are formations that were created due to a volcanic eruption in Galapagos, creating spectacular arches that create a beautiful landscape. We will walk through these formations accompanied by a bilingual naturalist guide who will explain in detail the particularities of the place.
As part of the Los Túneles tour, we will also snorkel or scuba dive in the tunnels area. In this area you will be able to swim in calm, crystal clear waters and dive under these tunnel-shaped lava formations.
You will observe a great variety of marine species such as sea lions, rays, turtles and sharks endemic to Galapagos Island (don't worry, they are harmless and you will always be accompanied by a guide).
