The Sacred Valley was for the Inca Empire a natural extension of its capital, Cusco. The entire area is known as Sacred Valley of the Incas and due to the vast agricultural activity, due to the optimal geographical and climatic conditions in the valley, the Incas decided to build their main temples and cities there. At the time of the construction of the citadels, the Incas liked to offer a form of animal or bird and derive the name of the localities from there, a curiosity that we will see, it is repeated in all the localities of the Sacred Valley.
