On this full-day tour, you'll discover the best of Lake Titicaca, exploring two of its most iconic islands: the breathtaking Floating Islands of the Uros, constructed entirely of totora reeds, and the traditional Taquile Island, renowned for its extraordinary textile art, declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. During this experience, you'll learn about the rich culture, ancestral customs, and spectacular landscapes that make the world's highest navigable lake a truly unique destination.

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel around 7:00 a.m. (provided it's located in a central area; otherwise, a nearby meeting point will be provided). Afterward, you'll meet the rest of the group to board the transportation and begin the excursion.

The first stop will be the Floating Islands of the Uros, where you'll learn about their way of life, traditions, and the impressive islands constructed from totora reeds. The guide will explain how these floating platforms are made and maintained, and you'll have the option of taking a ride on a traditional totora reed boat (optional activity).

Upon arriving at Taquile Island, you'll hike along its ancient trails, enjoying incredible views of Lake Titicaca and the Andean highlands. During the hike, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the local culture, take photographs, and appreciate the tranquility of this unique environment.

You will enjoy a typical lunch with a panoramic view of the lake and learn about the island's textile tradition, renowned for its handmade fabrics, considered an expression of Quechua identity and cultural heritage.

Finally, you will descend along the stone paths to the pier to begin the return to Puno, where your transport will be waiting to take you to your hotel.
