I didn't really know what to expect from a lodge in the middle of the jungle. But what I found was truly authentic and gave me the feeling of being in unspoiled nature, and our local guide Octavio really topped the experience. Thank you very much.

We had a great time. Wonderful people, full of activities, amazing food and comfortable lodging. Be prepared for some bites, even with insect repellent…no regrets :)

Sorry, we didn’t have the chance to get to Jamu lodge. The initial plan was for us to fly to Coca and Then Jamu lodge staff would pick us up from there. Unfortunately we got a message from Jamu right the night before stating that due to political situations they would not come and they derouted us to The Itamandi Eco lodge close to Tena. That was not the experience we wanted to have as Jamu in Cuyabeno is in the middle of the primary forest While Itamandi was at the very edge of Amazonia. So what we saw from the local wild life was only insects and a very few birds. We paid a very high price for a very limited experience. And as Jamu asks for the whole payment before the trip, and in their policy it’s stated they cannot be held accountable for political situations, we couldn’t recover any pence of our money. So, even if the Itamandi lodge was OK with nice and very professional staff, we didn’t have the experience we paid for. In this situation, we cannot recommend Jamu lodge to others. The only thing we could recommend is to avoid paying the whole price before getting there.

Hello, we always avoid confrontation with clients, with the understanding that the customer is always right, except when what they say is not true. The company that failed to fulfill its obligation was the transportation company that was supposed to take them from Coca Airport to our meeting point, due to road blockages in several places, such as Jamu. We were ready and waiting, but we believe that our obligation is to inform you of the problem before you are in an uncomfortable situation. Perhaps it would have been better to let you arrive in Coca and see the situation, then intervene and appear as your rescuers, but our moral principles do not allow us to act in that way. Of course, we refunded every last cent, we found you another hotel that was accessible at that time, you received a trip to the Amazon rainforest, and we made the transportation company refund the money for the unused transport. We have the refund receipts. We understand that it wasn't what you contracted for; in our contract, we are not obligated to do anything that we did for you, and now it turns out that you are recommending not making the payment. I don't think any airline ticket, cruise, safari, or tour package would reserve a space for someone who doesn't pay their fare. I think your advice is full of frustration and doesn't show much understanding of how tourism works worldwide. As we mentioned at the beginning, we are very sorry for this situation, we understand your frustration, but that doesn't give you the right to lie with the intention of harming an organization that employs more than 12 families.
