- LodgingA gorgeous chalet in Bird Creek, Alaska. A few minutes from Girdwood, close to trails and the ocean, but tucked away in a peaceful forest. Options include bunkbed in a shared bedroom or private rooms.
- All MealsWe'll have a private chef to prepare healthy meals to fit any dietary needs.
- TransportationFor those flying in, we will pick you up at the Anchorage airport and take care of all transport during the trip.
- AdventuresGroup cross country skiing, snow shoeing, guided tour of Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and a mushing trip!
- Wellness ActivitiesGuided Discussion on Burnout and Compassion Fatigue. Mindfulness, Yoga, Sound Bath
- AnimalsWe're animal people and we hope you are too! Our pets will be coming along for some adventures and to snuggle at the air bnb. If you wish to bring along YOUR non human companion, reach out.

- FlightsGet yourself to Anchorage or Bird Creek and we will take it from there!
- Specialized Outdoor GearParticipants are welcome to bring their own gear, but if needed we can facilitate rentals of skis, snow shoes, fat tire bikes etc.
- Alyeska Ski Area and SpaWe will provide time to access Alyeska within our itinerary, but each person will select which Alyeska services they wish to access and pay individually. Ski hills, an AMAZING nordic spa and massages!

Trail Breaker Retreats are a creation for animal care professionals from two Alaska buddies. Dr. Emily Iacobucci owns Trail Breaker Veterinary Services, offering clinics in remote Alaska. Amanda Meyer has a background in social work and counseling and is working on her post-graduate certificate in veterinary social work. We have a passion for helping animals and the humans who love them, as well as an appreciation of natural beauty and adventure. Once we are on your team, we are here for you always.

Just returned from the Trailbreaker retreat in Kodiak, AK with my batteries fully charged. If you're into the outdoors + overdue for a much needed break - consider this adventure for 2025 and beyond. Cannot recommend these amazing veterinary professionals enough!

This retreat was absolutely fantastic. We had a great group of women and it really feels like we developed a community of friendship and support. Our personal chef Diane was amazing and kept us well fed with locally sourced food. The chalet was spacious and lovely. Emily and Amanda did a wonderful job of leading us on adventures. I will definitely go on this retreat again, highly recommend!!

Amazing experience with some amazing women who I think will be close to my heart forever! So many wonderful experiences and adventures and amazing food. Really special to spend time with women dealing with big decisions and big experiences and be able to share and get such great support from each other. Hannah and Emily did a wonderful job as leaders and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
