Our group of 6 really enjoyed our tour with Hernan. Hernan is an experienced and knowledgeable guide who made everyone feel comfortable as we learned about the beautiful places he took us to. In addition to the amazing Mayan ruins and a visit to the yellow city we enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal and a visit to a private cenote Our group highly recommends this tour to all.

Super glad we booked with Ernand who helped us understand a little bit about Uxmal and more broadly about Mayan culture! Excellent tour, cenote and lunch!

Me and my friends travelled with Hernan from Merida to PDC. It was comfortable and easy. Hernan was helpful so if I travel to Yucatan, I would like to this service again.

Great trip to Chichen Itza, we departed Merida at 6:00am and were ahead of the crowds. Delio was the perfect guide, good english and passionate about his job. He explained in detail about the culture of the Mayan people and their understanding of astronomy and how the building structures aligned with the sun on the Solstice and Equinox. As we were leaving the site at 10:30am the big busses were arriving from Cancun with crowds gathering everywhere. The Cenote was in the back yard of a family dwelling and was completely covered except for a stairway to gain access. Below is lit and a myriad of Stalagtites hang from above. The water is crystal clear and a nice temperature for a swim. After the swim we were treated to a delicious lunch of Mayan food and also made our own tortillas and cooked them on a wood fire. Desert was fresh local fruit including varieties that I had never seen before. The final stop was in Izamal which also has Mayan ruins and a pyramid which you are allowed to climb. This town is famous for its yellow painted church and town square, and is home to an annual festival. I would reccomend this tour to everyone. It is a small local company so book your spot as soon as you can.

We had a great experience with Hernán through EcoExpeditions Mexico! We started our day early and arrived at Chichén Itza before they opened. Hernán made sure we were the first ones to get a picture in front of the pyramid without any other tourists in the background. We toured the rest of the archeological site and then had an hour to explore on our own. The next stop was at a private cenote owned by a family in a small town. The family was very hospitable and we had a tasting of the traditional dishes in Yucatecan cuisine like the cochinita pibil. We even got to make our own corn tortilla! Swimming in the cenote was wonderful! The cenote was underground and the water was crystal clear. If you like going to places not frequently visited by tourists this tour is definitely for you! Our last stop was in the city of Izamal, here we got to see another archeological site and a beautiful convent. Overall, we had a great time and I highly recommend you book this tour if you want an authentic Yucatecan experience!
