Depart for this exciting adventure from New York JFK International Airport on Kenya Airways flight KQ003, departing at 1:45pm. Meals and overnight on board your international flight.
On arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 11:15am, meet your guide after completing arrival formalities and after a brief safari briefing, commence your journey to Lake Naivasha. After about 1.5 hours, we shall have a brief stop at the famous Great Rift Valley Lookout, with stunning views of this geological formation that has created the most gorgeous landscape. From here, proceed with your journey to Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for a late lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge/ Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge. After a short afternoon break as you get acquainted with the serene surroundings of the resort, depart to Lake Naivasha Crescent Island for an excursion and boat ride. We will set off on an easy trek through one of lake Naivasha’s ecological gems - Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. A quick boat ride takes us to the island, shaped like a crescent. Here you will experience extraordinary encounters with Maasai giraffes grazing on acacia canopies, zebras meandering in the meadows and Thomson gazelles rustling through savannah grass. The perfect place for reflection on what is at stake on our changing planet. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. (L,D)
Mara Sopa Lodge, Lake Naivasha
After breakfast proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. This full day excursion to Nakuru gives you the opportunity to observe the world-renowned flamingos and to search for other wildlife such as buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes and baboons. Lake Nakuru is world famous as a sanctuary for both black and white rhino. Enjoy your picnic lunch while visiting the park. Drive back to Lake Naivasha for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge for a leisurely lunch. Your afternoon game drive starts at 3:30pm allowing viewing of the amazing wildlife in the reserve. Return by 6.30pm for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
Mara Serena Lodge, Maasai Mara National Reserve
We’ll be up early to view the park’s abundant wildlife, said to be the densest of any park in the region. This will be a day of unlimited game drives over the golden fields and past distinctive acacia trees adorning these plains. Be on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino. The birdlife is also abundant. Adding more richness to your experience. you will visit one of the local Maasai villages. There, you’ll meet the Maasai and see their lifestyle up close. Another optional event is an early morning hot air balloon ride over the reserve. Take in the park below coming to life as the fields light up and the wildlife begin a new day on the savannah. A magnificent experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
After breakfast you will depart the lodge and transfer to the Maasai Mara Airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi. On arrival to the Wilson Airfield in Nairobi, you will be met by our tour representative who will transfer you to The Hatton’s Lounge for lunch. Later proceed on an excursion to the Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Centre. Later this evening dinner at the Safari Park is arranged with entertainments by the Safari Cats. Overnight in Nairobi. Enjoy the day at leisure, with optional shopping or panoramic tour of the city. Lunch at the hotel (on your own). In the evening, proceed to the Carnivore for a farewell dinner. After dinner transfer to the airport for your return flight to the USA. Depart on flight KQ002 at 11:35pm. (B,D)
