Bring your road-trip games on as we shall set out for a trip to the newly inaugurate Statue of Unity! Dedicated to the Iron Man of India, Sh. Vallabhbhai Patel, it is located on a river island on river Narmada. We'll go see the statue which placed us tallest in the club of countries with tall statues! We'll learn more about the works of this iconic leader in the museum and explore. The journey will be roughly 3.5 hrs one way. 

Continue further to Dahej to take your short ferry to Ghogha.  Transfer by road to Bhavnagar for your night accommodation. 

Overnight hotel Bhavnagar 

Depart early this morning to be transferred by road to Diu (approx.6 hrs by road) 

 In this coastal town, we shall check-in to our property and then explore this coastal town at our pace and interest! Rent a cycle (approx. 50 INR )or a motorcycle, and go exploring the Diu Fort, St. Paul's Church, Sea Shell museum, Naida artificial caves, or just sit by the sea, immersed in your own thoughts! 

Stay at a boutique homestay run by Portuguese descent

 We'll start early morning on our road-trip today and go to Somnath first (83 kms). You might know Somnath has one of the twelve jyotirlingas - the shrines of Lord Shiva, but interesting to note that, Somnath temple is considered to be first of those twelve jyotirlingas. If you would like, we would go pay our visit to the temple, or sit by the shore or explore the places around. Later, we shall head out for the GIR FOREST (70 kms)! Gir National Park is the home to Asiatic lions, we shall spend the night here, anticipating to do some sightings the next day! 

Stay at Aranya Eco Farm or Similar

 We will go for the safari in the jeep, and hope to see some of those lions with those fancy manes and the gorgeous lionesses! Sighting however cannot be guaranteed and if we do ,it would be a thrilling experience, sure! Once back, we shall be recounting our experiences, play many a games, and have a tonne of fun! 

 Another road-trip. Another early start to the day. We shall be going to Porbandar first. Porbandar, the coastal town in Gujarat, is famously recalled for being the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama. If the group would like, we shall go see the Kirti Mandir, Sudama mandir, etc. And then head onwards to Dwarka, the ancient city, a famous pilgrimage for many. As the time and the sunlight allows, on this day or the following day, we shall aboard a ferry to go visit the Bet Dwarka island and temple. We can also visit the Dwarkadhish temple. 

Hotel Damji or similar

 Have some relaxed explorations in Dwarka, before we head on to another interesting adventure on the trip! Coral Walk in the Narara Marine Park! We'll go see the corals, marine and bird life! Later, we shall head out to Jamnagar, and board an overnight vehicle to find ourselves in Ahmedabad the next morning. 

Overnight volvo bus back to Ahmedabad

Bid Adieu to Jatin and Ahmedabad. 

On arrival in Ahmedabad, proceed to the airport for your flight back home. 

We shall depart, with many fond memories of this wonderful state of Gujarat and new friendships!
