This trip is for families traveling with little ones full of imagination and looking for knowledge and new experiences. During the journey parents and kids will find treasures, answer riddles and bond. Its a unique way of traveling because the vacation is transformed into a game.

This package is based on two adults and one or two kids under 11 years old, traveling together on a double room, sharing transportation and doing all the activities together. Only adults pay the price per person mentioned so the total for the whole family is $5150usd.

Cancellation policies that apply:

- Cancellations made 45 days prior to arrival, 25% penalty applies.

- Cancellations made between 44 to 30 days prior to arrival, 50% penalty applies. - Cancellations made between 29 to 15 days prior to arrival, 75% penalty applies.

- Cancellations made between 14 to 0 days prior to arrival, 100% penalty applies.

- Portions of the trip not used or no shows, are non refundable.

Sarapiqui

Upon arrival to Sarapiqui you will start the adventures. Select two from: Safari River Float Tours, Horseback riding, Canopy, guided nature walk, chocolate tour, pineapple tour or tubing.Lunch included between the activities

And today you will plant a tree. A local native tree that will help the rainforest and will create a Carbon Off Set responsible family trip.

If you still have energy a nocturnal walk is available with your guide/host/captain.

your private van with guide will transfer you from sarapiqui to La Pavona Port.

Board a boat for your water transfer to Tortuguero. On the way you will encounter numerous wildlife. Keep your eyes open.

Arrival to the lodge in Tortuguero, welcome drink, check in, lunch.

Then in the afternoon you will head into town. Explore the Caribbean flavour, traditions and way of life.

Dinner included

If you are visiting between 1st of March and 31st of October you will be able to arrange a nocturnal turtle nesting tour. Its the season when the leather-back and the green turtle come to lay their eggs. And between 15 December and 1st of April you will may see the turtle hatching.

And if you are visiting in November do not worry we will have a frog, nocturnal animals expedition tour.

All of the evening activities will be arranged on site with your guide/host/captain.

Amazing wildlife

Early morning boat journey around the different canals of the National Park. This is a great way to admire the amazing wildlife of the region.Time at leisure to enjoy the pool and hotel facilities. Your guide/captain will have pool and sand games.

During the sunset the whole family will join your guide/captain to walk around the beach and so some clean up. Learn why a clean beach and ocean is so important for marine wildlife.

You will have your own van with guide/driver on site. He will be available if you want to go out to explore the area, see other beaches, towns, go out for lunch or dinner, visit the supermarket, make spa reservations or just to help you out with the kids. He is your nanny on board he can play games, make a sand castle contest or look for hermit crabs to make a race.We do recommend you try the Caribbean Food. Unique, tasty and only available on this part of the country. If it's of your delight we can arrange a fun cooking lesson for the family.

We had an amazing 7 day trip to Costa Rica in the middle of March. We travelled in a wheel chair friendly van as my sister- in - law is in a wheel chair. Our guide (Martin) and driver (Louis) were exceptional and made travel easy. The highlight of the trip for my sister in law was zip lining and swimming in the ocean with an amphibious wheel chair. It was an amazing experience!

The trip was excellent. There was a lot of great discussion to plan a trip that appealed to a family with teenagers. Costa Rica is an incredible destination but it was so much better having such a knowledgeable guide. Diego has a wealth of experience and has an incredible amount of knowledge on history, plants, animals, the people - really anything we could ask. He's reliable and friendly, too. And everywhere we went, he knew everyone! It was a great pleasure to work with him on such a great adventure!

Our trip booked via Il Viaggio travels was great. Everything went smoothly, the communication was on spot, the guides /drivers that were assigned were courteous and knowledgeable, the hotels booked were as we had discussed.
