What if I am vegetarian?

Who will be my guide?

Andrew Golovachev is an accomplished trek leader and aspiring IFMGA ski guide, with a passion for alpine climbing and adventure photography. With extensive experience in organising and leading trekking expeditions, climbs, and ski tours, Andrew has explored diverse terrains including Tajikistan’s Pamirs, Patagonia, Peru, Morocco, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, the Georgian and Russian Caucasus, and Kamchatka.


As a full member and meets organiser of the British Alpine Club, Andrew is deeply immersed in the Alpine community. Having travelled to over 40 countries and lived in the UK for four years, he brings a wealth of cultural knowledge and global perspective to his expeditions. Additionally, Andrew is a certified first-aider, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants under his guidance.

    An English-speaking aspirant IFMGA guide's fees and expenses.
  • Meals
    Breakfasts are provided at guesthouses and hotels, while dinners can be arranged separately. Premium freeze-dried rations cooked by the guide when camping.
  • Local transfers
    All transfers by private minibuses and 4x4s. Transfer of gear between campsites.
  • Accommodation
    All accommodation, including tent nights, guesthouses on the trek (twin rooms whenever available) and 3-4 star equivalent hotel in Tbilisi.
  • Horseback ride
    A day of guided horse riding.
  • Attractions
    Chairlift and museum in Mestia.
  • Equipment
    Rental tents, pots/stoves, kitchen tarp

    It is condition of booking that you are insured for the trip and all activities

    Any gear/ equipment not inlcluded in the trips price will need to be arranged by you. Rental of trekking poles, sleeping bag, trekking mat, and other trekking gear, if needed.
  • Drinks
    Not included in the trip's price. We recommend bringing a water filter
  • Evening meals
    The cost for dinners at guesthouses during the trek and dining out a la carte in cities totals approximately €150-200. This includes expenses for wine and spirits.

Experience level: Intermediate

You must have some prior camping experience and basic skills. Designed for hikers seeking progression, this level is suitable for seasoned hikers and intermediate backpackers. No technical skills are required but  'sure-footedness' and some very basic scrambling will be needed. You should expect some steep grass slopes to travel sometimes without a trail.

Fitness level: Upper-intermediate

The "Upper Intermediate Fitness Level"  is tailored for individuals with a higher fitness background, integrating demanding activities like 8-hour hikes (10-14km) with a backpack on hilly terrain, aimed at amplifying endurance.
