About this trip

Join "Tribe Travel Diva," Tricia Nelson, for an unforgettable 13-day/12-night Irish Experience August 19-31, 2018.  In conjunction with Insider Expeditions, Trish has curated a trip to share the charm of the lush, inviting country. It's a full itinerary of the usual highlights (St. Patrick's Cathedral, The Tollymore Forest, Ring of Kerry, the Blarney Stone) with stops along the way to learn the origins of Irish whiskey, the skills of a sheep farmer (yes, sheep dogs!) and hurling -- plus, shades of Game of Thrones and Star Wars.

The Tribe Travel Story

Tricia Nelson, the “Tribe Travel Diva,” discovered her aptitude for coordinating group travel during her senior semester abroad in college, when she introduced her Eurail pass-holding weekend travel companions to an economical yet comfortable alternative to the youth hostel circuit. Soon after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, she rallied a small group of friends to join her on a posh budget adventure to Palm Beach and Key West, and a hobby was born.

Over the next two decades, Tricia coordinated group vacations to Brazil, Ibiza and the South of France; girls’ getaways to Fiji, Greece, Rome and Australia and trips for destination “weekend warrior” sporting events in Vancouver, San Diego and Walt Disney World.

In 2016, Tricia embarked on her first-ever group travel experience where she was not fully responsible for research, planning and execution – an 11-day tour of Ireland – and it was a life-changer. A year later, she participated in a transformative excursion to Oregon see the Great American Eclipse – a “Celestial Seminar” put on with white-glove care and attention by Insider Expeditions. Tricia soon made the decision to marry her enthusiasm for planning group travel experiences and her newly-forged connection to Ireland with the worry-free wanderlust offered by all-inclusive tours to curate her very first custom itinerary with Insider Expeditions. She’s thrilled you’re interested in going on this ride with her.
