Arrival and briefing
Tropical Holiday Adventure

 

Day 1 

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Enjoy a welcoming brief about your safari and Uganda in general, Change money and acquire what you may not have. If time allows enjoy an optional bike ride around entebbe

Day 2

After an early breakfast depart for Jinja, where the source of the longest river in the world (Nile) is. Lunch will be in Jinja at any of the  classic open restaurants, then Proceed to Mbale, a town that is at the base of Mount Elgon- with Wannale cliff peeping at you. This mountain is the world's largest caldera and source of the Sipi falls. A caldera is a flattened mountain top. Dinner and overnight will be at Mbale resort. you will need a nice rest.

Day 3

After an energizing early breakfast we set off for the beautiful sippi falls exploration, the home of the sabiny tribe. The exploration and drive up to the starting point will take an average of 1 hours, you will enjoy the 3 Sipi falls hike, before driving on to murchison falls through soroti, Kamdin Karuma then pakwach, for dinner and overnight,at any of the numerous wilderness lodges, in Murchison falls national park on the banks of river Nile- this section

Day 4

After Break fast you enjoy an early morning game drive, in the Albert- Nile delta area, to look for lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, warthogs, giraffes, buffalos, and antelopes, for 3-5 hours before breaking for a  lunch, as by this time it it will be too hot to for the wildlife and you, who will be looking for them, most of the wildlife retreats to the Nile river. So after lunch you will enjoy  a launch / boat cruise to the base of the mighty Murchison falls, see Crocodiles, hippos, lots of elephants and a variety of aquatic and arboreal birds. Then hike to the  Top of the falls to see one the several wonders Uganda has to offer- where the mighty Nile squeezes through a 7 meter gap to drop 23 meters down and then cascades 1500 metres to the devil's caldron where it meets the flow from Uhuru Falls (smaller falls that is a result of overspill from the Nile as it squeezes through the narrow section.) where the guide/drive will pick you and take you to your wild lodge, Pakuba lodge/Fort murchison lodge for dinner and overnight.

Early morning drive to Fort portal- the only town in Uganda with an English name, it is the spring point of several activities in Kibale national park, Semulik national park, Semulik wildlife reserve  and the Rwenzori mountains national park, Africa’s highest mountain ranges, the various Volcanic explosion craters and the beautiful tea plantations estates. This town is set at the base of the mountains of the moon, or Rwenzori mountains, it's home to a variety of primates, birds and a spectacular collection of crater lakes. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest House. Lunch will be at Tooro Royal Cottages, in a town named after Elephants, Kyenjojo.

Day 6

After breakfast you go for the early morning chimpanzee /primate tracking, depending on the time you finish, because it takes between 3-5 hours, you can do an optional Swamp walk, where you will be able to clearly see all the monkeys and birds you could not while in the forest. After that you will enjoy a mouth watering lunch before transferring to Queen Elizabeth national park, through Kamwenge, Kitagwenda, Katerera and Kyambura wildlife reserve, a beautiful  scenic area, for dinner and overnight, at Either park view wild lodge or Bush lodge.

After another delicious full English breakfast you go for an early morning game drive to see what the park with the highest concentration of wildlife species per square kilometer offers; lions, Elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, water Bucks, Lots of birds, salt harvesting, communities that live with wildlife and many more, after 4 hours you will transfer to mweya peninsula, for lunch and later do the early afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where a memorable volume of bird life, antelopes, Elephants hippos, crocs and warthog will be seen.Return to lodge for a great dinner and relaxing sleep.

Day 8 

on this day you will enjoy a late breakfast before setting off for  Bwind impenetrable national park, through ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, if luck is on your side you will see the tree climbing lions, enjoy a picnic  lunch on the banks of the Ishasha River before driving on to kisoro, arriving in the evening after crossing some of the best sceneries you probably have never seen before. Dinner and overnight, At Ichumbi gorilla lodge or Mucha hotel, this is the home to the highly endangered mountain gorillas, depending on where your tracking permits will lead us.

Day9

After an Early Breakfast you transfer to the gorilla tracking trailhead briefing  point, where you will be told about the gorilla tracking procedure. Gorilla tracking, though thrilling and fascinating, is a tedious activity that requires energy and fitness, you'll be given options of going with a tracking assistant who helps you through the tracking. The activity takes 3-8 hours. Later you go back to the lodge, that is if you tracked for more than 5 hours, if you track for less hours then you go for a community walk in the late afternoon, to explore the lives of the people living in this gorilla area.fter breakfast go for scenery and site seeing, community/ Batwa( Pygmy) cultural exploration and then relocate to Lake Mburo National Park, at Eagles nest for dinner and overnight

Day10

After a refreshing breakfast we transfer to Lake Mburo National through Mbarara where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch. Then transfer to lake Mburo for an evening Bush hike. Then check in the lodge and have dinner. 

Day11

After breakfast we embark on an Early morning games drive to see Impalas, Eland and zebra they are only found in this park. In the Afternoon drive back to Kampala, thru masaka. overnight and dinner in Entebbe

Day12

After breakfast we drive to the Entebbe botanical gardens, for a cool exploration of these beautiful tropical gardens, then head out for a beautiful lake front restaurant for lunch. After lunch we set off for Jinja, where the source of the Nile is found. overnight and dinner in Jinja.

Day13

Early morning white water rafting on the Nile, it's a whole day activity, it's one the best adrenaline expounding adventure on the longest river in the world, dinner and later explore the night life, overnight in Jinja.

Day 14

After a satisfying breakfast we head back to kampala for a city tour. Later we transfer to Entebbe for dinner and breakfast. 

Day 15 

Today is reserved for Souvenir shopping, farewell lunch and departure
