Cartagena is the most popular tourist destination in Colombia, a place where the magic of the old city meets modernism and where you’ll find a warm-hearted welcome from locals. Our hotel is in a prime location in waterfront Bocagrande, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city. InterContinental Cartagena is blocks from the beautiful bay of Castillogrande, five minutes from the old city, and 15 minutes from Rafael Núñez International Airport.

Rooms & Suites - Averaging 370 sq ft, classic rooms feature separate rainforest showers, two phones with voicemail, a 40-inch LCD TV, high-speed Internet, an electric safe, and spacious work areas. Classic guest rooms also feature spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea or Castilligrande Bay.  Our luxurious suites include an ocean view, luxury bath view, separate bath, and walk-in shower.

Tipping is not generally expected in Colombia though it's always appreciated. In smaller cafes and restaurants, and for taxi journeys, it's good practice to round up to the nearest thousand pesos. In nicer restaurants, a 10-15% tip is expected and this may be automatically added to your bill. In fancy hotels such as the Intercontinental most guests will tip maids, doormen and bellhops between 50 cents and a dollar.

1. Making reservations for this package signifies your acceptance of our Terms and Policies. 

2. All payments to Global Travelers LLC are non-refundable and non-transferable. Our packages include multiple vendors with various cancellation policies. PURCHASE CANCEL FOR ANY REASON INSURANCE within 21 days of making your deposit to protect your money in case you need a refund. COVID-19 just shut the entire world down. Be prepared for the unexpected. 

3. Reservations must be made in your FULL NAME as it appears on your passport!  

4. The payment schedule is required to keep your reservation current (Automatic payments). 

5. Choose your roommate wisely.  You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making timely monthly payments.  

6. You can log onto Wetravel 24 hours to review your account. Name corrections after final payment will incur a $50 change fee.

7. All late payment requests must be approved by management before the final payment deadline on your account.

 If you cancel your reservation, the package is non-refundable. Global Travelers LLC has negotiated special pricing with vendors that will not allow us to obtain refunds. This way we can keep your packages low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation. We like "happy clients"! Although you may not be able to attend this trip, we'd love to have you back in the near future.  See Travel Protection Insurance below. 

COVID-19 has taught us that "anything can happen".  Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse.  Therefore, we highly recommend Travel Protection that helps provide coverage for Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Baggage Loss or Delay, Medical Expenses, and more.  You are required to select and purchase travel insurance for your domestic and international tours.  Protect your investment.  Anything can happen; missed flight, getting ill while on vacation, or a family emergency.  Below is a link to several insurance companies.  

We highly recommend purchasing a Cancel For Any Reason travel insurance policy.  If you choose a "cancel for any reason" policy (and you should)  most carriers require that you buy the policy within 14-21 days of the initial purchase and some the day of your initial deposit.  You will be required to confirm if you understand the importance of purchasing travel insurance.
