Welcome to Tumaco: A Journey into Tradition

rrival in Tumaco, visit to Las Puertas del Cielo, cultural foundation, instrument-making workshop, and musical session with locals at Bocagrande.

Rhythms and Flavors of the Pacific

In the morning, enjoy free time at the private beaches. After lunch, continue with a new musical rhythm session. Then, cook a traditional regional dish with the chefs from Maria del Mar, followed by dinner where we’ll savor what we’ve prepared.

Ancestral Traditions: A Visit to Maestro Vichero Onésimo

We’ll travel to the village of Soledad Cuary to visit Maestro Vichero Onésimo and his family. There, we’ll participate in the production of this ancient beverage. The evening will be spent with Don Onésimo and his family, enjoying their hospitality.

Dance, Song, and Stories of the Pacific

Upon returning to Bocagrande, we’ll start with a dance class to learn the basic steps of the rhythms explored. After lunch, we’ll have a final musical session with matronas cantoras, who will share their stories, rituals, and traditions as we play alongside them.

Farewell Celebration: Coastal Traditions and Music

In the morning, experience pianguada and potrillo. After a free afternoon to enjoy the beach, the farewell celebration includes a surprise dinner followed by a spontaneous gathering of drums, marimba, and voices to practice what we've learned.

Day 6

A Relaxing Farewell

Enjoy a late breakfast after the farewell evening. Spend free time on the beach before lunch, followed by the transfer to Tumaco airport for your return journey.
