About this trip

What makes our trip the best?

Visit a quaint town with just 600 inhabitants and get a taste of Turkish village life.

By staying the night at Pammulake (The Cotton Castle), we can visit at sunset and avoid the massive crowds of day-trippers.

Stay in a charming B&B with cozy cottages and antique furnishings perched on top of a hill overlooking olive groves and vineyards, think Tuscany but Turkish style!

Travel on your own private yacht along the Bosphorus and explore lesser-known intimate estates along the riverfront.

Swim underneath the famous Roman Temple’s ruins in Queen Cleopatra’s antique warm pools that are steeped with history. We visit a few hours before closing in order to avoid crowds and more than likely will have the place to ourselves!

Stay in a unique cave hotel carved into a side of a cliff with some rooms of the hotel dating back to the 5th century.

No trip would be complete to Turkey without drifting above Cappadocia in a hot air balloon and witnessing the serene performance of the whirling dervishes.

Globe Drifters gives new meaning to travel by putting the human experience at the heart of our trips. Let’s face it, there are lots of different options for travel out there. So what sets Globe Drifters’ trips apart from the others? According to our travelers, it’s the group. We keep our group sizes small at 10-12 people maximum per trip. What’s even more, is that at least 90% of everyone in each group are solo travelers. We know from experience that it can be lonely traveling in large groups composed mostly of couples. So not only do

This was a wonderful trip. The guide, Ivance, was extraordinary and added so much to the experience. The lodgings were lovely. The sites were beautiful. Each city was unique and there was time to explore in most cases. If I would change anything, I would spend more time in Zadar and skip the day trip to Sali, Croatia. All the other places should not be missed. We had a great group of travelers that made the trip extra special. Maybe Balkans/Adriatic tours attract just the right kind of people that mesh well and are fun, kind and curious. 5 stars.

Portugal, is everything I hoped for and definitely exceed my expectations. It's beauty, friendly people and cuisine was fantastic. If you ever get the chance you must go. Jodie had the perfect itinerary and knowledgeable guides. I recommend this trip to solo, family and couple travelers. During the time of COVID travel, CDC guidelines are followed by the Community and COVID testing is mandatory. The cost of COVID testing in Portugal are reasonably priced. You must visit the World’s most luxurious McDonald's in Porto. Enjoy, Lisa Cruz-Cartwright Encinitas, CA, USA

This trip exceeded our expectations and showed us the wonders of Iceland in a manner that only a local could. Stefan was a fantastic tour guide who made the experience work seamlessly, from start to finish. I'm sure there were moments behind the scenes where Stefan had to make calls and rearrange things, but to us on vacation, it was all seamless and easy. I especially liked Stefan's positive attitude that there are no problems, only solutions, while being able to show us around more parts and waterfalls of Iceland than we would have thought possible. We were in highly capable hands with Stefan, who was an extraordinarily gracious and accommodating tour guide who happily answered questions and shared interesting information about Iceland. Stefan made the tour magical, relaxing, informative, and seamless.

A truly exotic experience! A one of a kind trip. All of the rooms were extremely nice and comfortable except one but it was still fine. The Sahara desert experience was amazing!

We had a great experience, nice company, nice host and great places. Suggestions: 1. Allocate more time for Lisbon, select a little better hotel. There is a lot more to see in Lisbon. 2. Local guide at all places would be helpful to learn about the history and dynamics. Rest all was great, thank you for organizing and great experience.
