About this trip

On this inspirational pilgrimage to the land of myth, mystery and magic, you can embrace opportunities to enrich your writing, meet like-minded individuals, and realize your creative dreams.

Your tour package will include private consultations, group classes, workshops, and individual attention aimed at your personal needs.

In between those classes and workshops, you’ll have all-day or partial-day tours with a professional guide of the most famous, infamous, well-known, and hidden sites in the west of Ireland. From cliffs that soar 700 feet above the Atlantic, to a 12th century castle, to the forest said to be home of the King of the Faeries of Connaught, to the prehistoric dun fort on the island of Inis Mor . . . and that’s just a few of the beautiful places you’ll visit. After these busy tour and writing days, you can have leisurely evening meals with other writers, listen to stories before a fire, or just cozy up with a book.

About the Conference

Before this conference, you’ll be invited to send a select number of manuscript pages for the author/editors’ review. These two successful ladies have had over fifty books published in the past decade. Those books have sold well and gotten good reviews. So you know they’ll be giving you sound advice in your one-on-one critique sessions with them.

A unique feature of this retreat is that the guest authors will be teaching insider advice on productivity and time management so that you can learn from their experience how to turn your writing into a full time career. In addition, you’ll enjoy group classes, activities, and discussions, on all aspects of the craft, as well as learn valuable marketing skills.

This was a fabulous tour. Alternating days of touring and conference made it easier for me to manage my stamina. Some of the sites we visited were difficult to reach—this is not a trip for people with serious mobility limits. My limitations are pretty mild, so I was able to handle most of the tour, but sometimes it was a struggle. As a published author and freelance editor, I found that a lot of the teaching covered things I already knew. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my time with the instructor. She helped me brainstorm some pacing and character development issues for my third novel. I highly recommend this course for new to intermediate writers. The teaching is thorough. Fiona is a fantastic tour guide. Her knowledge of local lore is terrific, and she's a great storyteller.
A wonderful journey I'll remember forever. The perfect balance between writing instruction and exploring. Both equally inspiring.
This was an incredible trip. The balance between writing sessions and exploring the countryside was perfect. The food and people of Ireland are delightful

I attended an Ireland Writer Tour and it was a great experience! I highly recommend the tour both for the writing advice it provides and the awesome places you visit. You should go!!

I went on an Ireland Writer Tour in 2016 and it was one of the best weeks of my life. I met wonderful people, many of whom I now call friends, saw beautiful places, learned lots of Irish history and got my first novel headed in the right direction all inside of seven days. I highly recommend this tour and the guide!
