OVERNIGHT STAY IN MANIFA ELEPHANT CAMP.

DAY 1: Early morning pickup from 07:45 - 08:30am, we then embark a boat trip to Pak Ou Caves about 1 and half hours on the Mekong River, which gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as the mysterious nature. On the way we will visit Ban Xang Hai (Whisky Village), where the local rice wine is produced. Then we continue boat trip until Pak Ou. Pak Ou Caves are two linked caves crammed with thousand of lacquered Buddha Status of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. After 40 min staying at caves, the boat trip takes us to MANIFA ELEPHANT CAMP and we enjoy a beautiful buffet style lunch at the restaurant - overlooking the Mekong river.

At about 1 PM, we start "MAHOUT EXPERIENCE PROGRAM".

• CONTINUE NURTURING YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND BONDING TIME WITH ELEPHANT
• LEARN HOW TO CARE AND HANDLE ELEPHANTS WITH THE METHOD OF VERBAL CUES (VOICE COMMAND SYSTEM)
• LEARN HOW TO BETTER HANDLE ELEPHANTS THROUGH BODY LANGUAGE AWARENESS AND COMMUNICATION TECHNIQUES
• LEARN HOW TO CORRECTLY RIDE LIKE A MAHOUT ON THE  NECK OF THE ELEPHANT
• GUIDE YOUR ELEPHANT SAFELY AND COMFORTABLY THROUGH THE JUNGLE ON THE PROPERTY
• BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING BRING ELEPHANTS TO CAMP IN THE MORNING (WAKE UP CALL AND WALK RIDE TO WORK
• PRACTICE THE SKILLS LEARNED IN TRAINING PROGRAM

The program temporarily last in the late afternoon. In the end, we take elephants to their resident bamboo forests. From evening to next morning, we have a free time in the Mekong riverside. Manifa Elephant Camp prepares dinner and accommodation with hot shower (Lodge in Elephant Camp / Home stay at the opposite local village across the Mekong River)

DAY 2:  We resume Mahout Program in early morning at 6:30 to pick up elephants from forests with Manifa mahout team,  then we take elephants to the Mekong river for bathing and interact with them for a while.

After breakfast and break, we join Manifa Mahout team and experience Mahout work from around 10 - 12 AM. "MAHOUT EXPERIENCES　TRAINING PROGRAM" ends with this 2 hours experience working as Mahout.

After saying goodbye with elephants and mahout, we have a lunch and break, then at about 1 PM,  We start driving to south to Kuang Si Waterfall for takeing a dip in the turquoise waterfall with a backdrop of white limestone cliffs.  We stay 2 hours there, then we leave for Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. We make a short visit at Ban Na Uan Hmong village on the way. Then we return to the city between 5:30-6:00 PM which is the ideal time to visit Phousi Mountain to see sunset.
