• Depart Inverness and follow the length of legendary Loch Ness, passing ancient pine forests, ruined croft houses and sweeping lochside views, with scenic photo stops and time to explore Fort Augustus where the Caledonian Canal meets the loch
• Continue south through the Great Glen, watching for red deer, birds of prey and Highland cattle, before reaching Fort William beneath Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, with time to browse the Highland Soap Company, enjoy artisan coffee and soak up views of surrounding peaks
• Travel west to Glenfinnan through dramatic mountain scenery and glacial valleys, arriving at the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous from the Harry Potter films, with views over Loch Shiel and the chance to see the Jacobite Steam Train crossing the arches if timings allow
