With many parts of Maldives becoming overcrowded with international surfers, Baa Atoll remains unchartered territory in terms of tourist surfing. Baa Atoll is home to peeling left & right points, exposed ocean reefs and stunning island backdrops. Surf with the Baa Atoll locals who are kindly sharing their empty waves with a small group of surfers. 

Depending on the daily surf conditions & experience of participants, attendees are spoiled for choice when it comes to empty breaks. With the closest surf spot 10-15 mins via speedboat( just around the front of the island), we can travel up to 45 mins either to the north or east, discovering many spots along the way... take your pick!

The Ultimate Surf Discovery Trip is most suited to High Beginner (pervious surf experience) & Lower / High Intermediate surfers who wish to surf empty lineups and improve their surfing skills in the Maldives, with zero crowds. Whether you have surfed a handful of times or you surf frequently, our Maldivian surf guides will have you on your feet, riding beautiful empty waves day after day. Experienced surfers can also join, however the swells are expected to be a little less powerful than those in North Malé / Central / Southern Atolls.

ABOUT GOIDHOO ISLAND

Goidhoo Island is situated on the western chain of islands in Baa Atoll, 1hr and 40 minutes via speedboat, north of Velana International Airport. Goidhoo is geographically separated from the other islands of Baa Atoll, in its own mini atoll, meaning it is situated nearby some excellent surf breaks and pristine lagoons.

With just two guesthouses on the island, tourism here has been considered off-grid in the past, although in recent times, with new developments planned on neighbouring islands, this spectacular part of Baa Atoll is quickly gaining in popularity and it's not hard to see why with it's pristine white sand blue water beaches and lagoons, incredible dive sites and abundance of marine life.

MALDIVES LEARN TO SURF ITINERARY 

Day 1: Meet at the airport at 1pm, ready for a speedboat transfer to Goidhoo Island. Step foot onto the white sandy shores of Goidhoo Island, be greeted with flower leiis and check in to your lovely sea view / garden view room.

Day 2: Half Day Surf Trip - First group surf session. Relax before & after the surf.

Day 3: Enjoy a full day of surf trip adventuring, searching for those perfect empty waves. Later in the evening, look through your images & videos.

Day 4: Rest Day! Take some time out to explore your surroundings on the island, add on a little excursion or laze on the beach or your balcony, reading a book and enjoying the beautiful views from Olive Goidhoo.

Day 5: Full Day of surf trip adventuring, searching for those perfect empty waves.

Day 6: Half Day Surf Trip. In the evening, look through your images & videos.

Day 7: Full Day of surf trip adventuring, searching for those perfect empty waves.

Day 8: Half Day Surf Trip. In the evening, look through your images & videos.

Day 9: Visit a beautiful sandbank island & do a little snorkelling! If you wish to do an extra surf session you totally can! (added-extra).

Day 10: Full Day of surf trip adventuring, searching for those perfect empty waves.

Day 11: Half day In the evening, look through your images & videos.

Day 12: Full day of surf trip adventuring, searching for those perfect empty waves.

Day 13: Departure from Goidhoo Island 8am for Velana International Airport - Male.
