We're bringing you to the most gorgeous 5* boutique hotel that combines luxury, relaxation and serenity. You will leave feeling refreshed, accomplished, strong, and ready to take on whatever comes your way (also - the cute tan doesn't hurt!). 


This retreat was designed with the belief that you don't have to 'let yourself go' when you're on vacation. You can still experience everything you want to, without the guilty feeling of overindulgence afterwards!

What to expect:

We'll be staying at Sandos Cancun - a beautiful 5-star, adult oriented resort which lies in the heart of Cancun along a white sandy beach. You'll be surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, infinity pools, luxury restaurants and amenities and so much more...  


Each day will have two movement sessions - whether it is a high intensity workout, yoga on the beach, a stretch session at sunset, or stationary bike HIIT sessions. There will also be mindfulness and goal setting workshops, meditation, a hands on authentic Mexican cooking class, Tequila tastings, and a secret off-site excursion.


Enjoy daily a la carte breakfast, offering traditional Mexican dishes, amongst other classic favourites. Dinners will be in unique settings around the resort, offering us all a chance to catch up on the day, while enjoying perfectly curated menus. All food is included, and we are able to match and dietary restrictions. 

The Movement Sessions

The Movement Session workouts will be lead by group fitness instructor Beverley Cheng. Each workout will be unique in either location or training style.


We will be squatting, lunging and running our way across the sandy beach. Sculpting our abs and arms on a rooftop terrace. Burning out our legs and glutes in an exclusive penthouse . Expect to get a killer sweat on under the sun, while taking in the incredible surroundings.


The Movement Yoga Sessions will be lead by a certified yoga & reiki instructor. These tranquil yoga  sessions will be overlook the sea at sunset .

Hi! My name is Beverley and I am a health and fitness blogger living in Toronto. My fitness journey started about 10 years ago when I started playing rugby at a very competitive level. After I decided to stop playing, I started my blog, Born to Sweat, a site dedicated to workouts, wellness, and real talk. In addition to my blog, I also run workout classes every week in downtown Toronto. I have modelled for brands such as Lululemon, Under Armour, New Balance, and more. I also run one of the largest fitness competitions in Toronto called The Sweat Games! Fitness is my absolute PASSION, and it has been a dream of mine to run workout classes on the sandy beaches of Mexico. I can't wait to bring you along!

The workouts taught by Beverley are my favourite part of the retreat, she definitely pushed us out of our comfort zone, absolutely loved it! Even though I had an old injury, I was able to do all of the workouts (some with modifications suggested by Beverly). AND, I thoroughly enjoyed the daily meditation/Yoga taught by Timea which was so relaxing. I really enjoyed dinner every night where we got to spend time to get to know everyone! Only downside was that I wished that the beach excursion time was spent with everyone, instead of different groups doing their own things. Overall, I had a very wonderful experience right from when I entered the resort room until the last night where we let loose with our mates. So, thank you Beverley and Veronica! I hope I can attend one of your retreats again! xoxo

Thanks to Beverley's level of engagement and Veronica's precision and meticulous organization, the Ultimate Sweataway greatly exceeded expectations. The Eco resort was great as was food and drink. The group activities were really amazing and see awesome workouts with a lot using simply body weight. I would have liked a little bit more down time to lay by the pool/beach. I would also preferred a more engaging excursion like going on a catamaran and snorkeling especially if Cozumel is notorious for it. Some of the Mayan activities were a bit of a snoozer. What was most memorable was hands down the people. I got to meet so many strong and incredible humans. I only wish we had another 1-2 days together to have more time together. Overall, highly highly recommend!

I truly had an amazing week with Beverly and would recommend everyone to embark on this amazing retreat with her if you have the opportunity. From arrival to departure, you can tell that her team really put in a lot of thought into the workouts, group activities. It was the perfect combination of getting your butt kicked, relaxing by the beach/pool, and restorative yoga and stretching session.

The ultimate sweat away trip was the best week of my life. Beverley Cheng and Veronica executed the week to a perfection and I left forever grateful to be part of this experience. The trip was amazing, The workouts were challenging and well thought out and the work shops were hugely beneficial. The only thing I might have changed is fewer scheduled afternoon activities so we had more unstructured time. The mindfulness and Goal Setting workshops were enormously beneficial, especially in context of the fitness - caring for mind and body, but I would have rather had my afternoons free (before the evening workout) to explore at my own pace. Next time, consider making them optional or simply providing a list of activities available and those who are interested can schedule their own days accordingly. I would absolutely do one of Bev's retreats again and I have already recommended it to several people!
