The MOTM AVENTURERA Retreat in Puerto Rico is a 6-day, 5-night journey through two distinct sides of the island, each revealing a different layer of its culture, history, and natural beauty. The retreat begins in Old San Juan, one of the oldest European settlements in the Americas. Its blue-grey cobblestone streets wind past pastel-colored buildings, historic forts like El Morro and San Cristóbal, and a vibrant food scene filled with mofongo, tostones, fresh seafood, and world-class rum.
Midway through, the journey shifts east to Puerto Rico’s lush, untamed landscape. El Yunque National Rainforest, the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. Forest Service, offers waterfalls, wildlife, and sweeping views. Nearby, Luquillo’s coastline provides stunning beaches, while nights in Fajardo reveal the rare bioluminescent glow of Laguna Grande. All of this unfolds during December’s Las Navidades season, when the island is alive with music, food, and celebration. Co-Guide Destiny Rosa creates a space for connection and presence, while a certified Puerto Rican co-guide brings local insight and relationships that deepen every experience, so you don’t just visit Puerto Rico, you’re welcomed into it.

The morning unfolds in El Yunque National Rainforest, where a guided hike immerses you in waterfalls, coquí frogs, and lush cloud forest views. Afterward, the group enjoys lunch at a local East Side restaurant before heading to Luquillo Beach, where there’s time to swim, relax, and take in the coastline. By late afternoon, you’ll check into your East Side accommodations and settle in. The evening closes with a group dinner featuring fresh local seafood, rounding out a day rooted in nature and movement.

The afternoon is intentionally open—time to unwind at the beach, journal, explore for souvenirs, or simply rest. In the evening, the group gathers for a farewell dinner, a Boricua feast that celebrates everything the island has offered. The night closes with a truly unforgettable experience: a bioluminescent bay tour at Laguna Grande in Fajardo, where each movement through the water glows blue-green—one of the most magical ways to end your Puerto Rico aventura.
The final morning begins with a shared breakfast, giving everyone a last moment together to reflect, laugh, and settle into the glow of the previous night’s experience.
