Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Our tour guide and private vehicle will be waiting to pick you up. You will begin by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you can see typical wood-carved temples and buildings reflecting the ancient Kathmandu city, and then proceed to Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, where you can see religious harmony and tolerance between the Buddhist and Hindu religions, as well as enjoy a panoramic view of Kathmandu city and the Himalaya ranges.
Following that, you will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, which is one of Southeast Asia’s largest Hindu pilgrimage sites. Explore the surroundings and observe the ritual body cremation ceremony process of the Hindus at the bank of the holy Bagmati River.
Then, explore the surroundings of Guweyswori Temple, another pilgrimage site near Pashupatinath Temple, before continuing to Boudhanath Stupa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built in 600 A.D. and is the world’s only stupa of its kind, reflecting Buddhism. Explore the surroundings of Boudhanath Stupa, and then return to the hotel to rest.
