About this trip

Come to Israel for a once in a lifetime tour of the Holy Land!

Hear from veteran Middle East Correspondent Chris Mitchell who’s been reporting on the front lines of Israel’s history for more than twenty years.  See how Israel is the crossroads of both history and prophecy.  You’ll visit the land of the Bible and walk where Jesus walked in the Galilee and preached the Good News.  You’ll take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and see the city of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives.  Experience the adventures of Israel as Chris explains the news of the day in light of Biblical prophecy.  It’s been said, before you come to Israel reading the Bible is like reading it in black and white, but after you come to Israel, it’s like reading it in color!

Covid Update

Now Israel is eager to welcome visitors once again to explore the land and all it has to offer.  Dateline Jerusalem will be monitoring information from Israeli officials as they establish the appropriate protocols for each visitor’s comfort and safety.  Those who register will be updated regarding any special travel requirements.

Currently, there is no particular protocol about Covid- especially since there are no tests/vaccines required. To get the latest information, you can go to the following link:

Please note that there still are 2 requirements for tourists entering the country:

1. Filling out the entry form on line (the site still says within 48 hours of travel, but this is now changed to within 10 days).

2. Having health insurance which includes coverage for Covid.

Practically, tourists who are found positive need to isolate in their hotel rooms and pay for this directly, as well as pay for changing their return flights.  They need to test themselves on Days 4 and 5 and if both antigens are negative then they are free to leave isolation. If not then they are free to leave anyway at the end of Day 7te that there still are 2 requirements for tourists entering the country:

This is why it's important to have health insurance including Covid coverage.

All your meals (except one lunch during a shopping break) are included in the price of the tour. All meals include one non-alcoholic beverage.  You’ll be responsible for any additional beverages and any alcoholic beverages you may consume on the trip.  Breakfast and dinner will be at the hotels you’ll be staying at.  Israeli hotels are noted for their tasty buffets with a wide variety of choices.  These lunch spots have been selected so you’ll have opportunities to taste the local cuisine.

Day 1
Caesarea and the Galilee

 Day #1 – Saturday, November 26th, 2022

Shalom, and welcome to Israel! After gathering at noon at Ben Gurion International Airport, we will be welcomed by the group leaders and our tour guide before boarding the comfortable motorbus on which we will be traveling through the Land of Israel. Setting off, we will drive through Tel Aviv and head north up the Coastal Plain to our first exciting stop – Caesarea Maritima on the Mediterranean Sea.

Light lunch en route: Aroma or the kiosk at Caesarea

Herod’s dream, and one of the most important cities in the Roman Empire during the time of Jesus, Caesarea boasts an artificial harbour that rivalled the great regional ports of his day. Pontius Pilate resided here. Here the door was opened for Gentiles to enter the Kingdom, and here, too, Paul testified before Herod Agrippa and Bernice.

Leaving the coast, we will head inland through lower Mount Carmel – where Elijah and the prophets of Ba’al contested the identity of God – and past Tel Megiddo in the Jezreel Valley. This ancient site, uninhabited since Nebuchadnezzar invaded Judah, is believed by multitudes of Christians to be the stage of the final Battle of Armageddon. But is it?

Our bus will take us north-east, under the Nazareth mountains and through the “stomping grounds” of Elisha the prophet, and the Judges Gideon and Deborah, before we descend to below sea-level and come the shores of that most famous body of water – the Sea of Galilee.

Check into our hotel for dinner and a good night’s sleep. Many more wonderful sites await us tomorrow in the Land of the Bible.
