Buenos Aires – Ushuaia (3 hour flight)

Transfer to Aeroparque airport in Buenos Aires to catch our flight to Ushuaia. Arrive to Ushuaia, transfer to our hotel and afternoon to discover this cute town. We will visit the Ushuaia Navy Base where is located the old prision closed in 1947, the end of the world museum, Saint Christopher tugbout, the parish “Our Lady of Mercy”, the Monument to the fallen in Malvinas war. In the mission neighborhood we will have an amazing panoramic view of the city and its surrounding mountains. 

Half day visit to the  Tierra del Fuego National Park. Departure by National Route Nr 3 in south-west direction, skirting Beagle Channel. We will stop at the old End of the World Railway Station for those who want to make this trip, on a narrow path train, going through the valleys for about 20 minutes. (Access to the train is just wide enough for a regular manual wheelchair. Clients will transfer manually to regular seat, while inside the train). Then, once in the National Park, we will go on to Ensenada Bay, here Redonda Island can be seen. We will go across woods where we will observe the local flora and fauna, till we arrive at Lapataia Bay, the southernmost point of the continent. Return to Ushuaia. For the afternoon we will head towards the tourist pier to sail Beagle Channel, observing Argentinian coasts and Navarino Island on the opposite side (Chile). We will arrive at Les Eclaireurs Headlight, Ushuaia’s emblem. On our way back, we will sail among some islets. Elephant seals can be appreciated in one of them, whereas a variety of birds can be seen in the other. Arrival to Ushuaia. (Access to boat is done with ramps, which are approx 75 cm wide)

Ushuaia – El Calafate flight (approx 1 hour flight)

Today we fly to El Calafate. Once arrive to El Calafate our guide and transportation will be waiting for us. We will then drive for approx 25 minutes to the town El Calafate and check in at our hotel. We will have some time on our own to settled in and then go for a quick walk around and dinner.

After breakfast we will take our vehicle and drive towards the Perito Moreno glaciar. Pertio Moreno is an impressive natural wonder. It has more than 200 foot (60 meters) height of ice walls, which are so close to you than you can actully feel you are touching it. Access to look out points is all accesible. Return to El Calafate for dinner.

El Calafate (half day glaciars)

We start early!! Trasnfer from El Calafate to Port of Punta Bandera (45 km away). We will board a catamarán (access to boat via ramp), where we will sail across Argentino lake, until we reach the Upsala glaciar, which presents many icebergs as we get closer to it. Then we will continue until we reach Spegazzini Glaciar, which descends from the mountains to the lake, which is a perfect frame for a great picture. We will have a box lunch on the catamarán and return to Puerto Bandera. Return to El Calafate for dinner.

Today we fly back to Buenos Aires. Time to get back to hotel and rest for a couple of hours. Early in the evening we will pick you up to go for an delicious dinner  followed by an excellent Tango and Folklore Show.

Today we have a half day excursion to El Tigre Delta. This is a very unique and beautiful delta formed by the Rio de la Plata river. Return to Buenos Aires after lunch.
