Our annual Transformational Travel Experiences (TTraVsperiences®) Greece is so popular that we are headed back for the fourth time. Be prepared to be amazed by the rich and beautiful history of this country. Tourism in Greece has been a key element of the economic activity in the country. Greece has been a major tourist destination and attraction in Europe since antiquity.

Greece is a country in southeastern Europe with thousands of islands throughout the Aegean and Ionian seas. Influential in ancient times, it’s often called the cradle of Western civilization. Athens, its capital, retains landmarks including the 5th-century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. Greece is also known for its beaches, from the black sands of Santorini.

The demographic of professional black women that we service are ambitious, kind, goal oriented, spiritually centered, sisterly, open to cultural immersion, that are looking for happiness while traveling the globe. The specific demographic selection for this Black Girl Soul Adventure allows our clients to bond with women of similar professions that allows every participate to travel with intention and to delve deeper into living a PURPOSEFUL and POWERFUL life.

There’s no feeling better than visiting great monuments, ancient ruins, romantic streets and eating intercontinental cuisines from three different countries all in one week. With motivational talks and speeches from leaders in all professions on topics that are peculiar to you and your profession.

This 2022 Black Girl Soul Adventure Greece was rescheduled from 2020 as a result of the COVID 2019 Pandemic. Our clients matter and we are honored they trusted us with there travel arrangements during these unprecedented times. COVID traumatized the world and we all are in need of healing on a much larger scale than no one could have ever anticipated.

On Wednesday, June 22, 2022 17 sisters who have never met in person before will meet face to face for the first time at Newark International Airport. We will take a nine hour flight to Athens, Greece. For a candid behind the scene look follow Shay Sane the Executive Director and Founder of Black Girls On The Go on IG at Shay.Sane. They will travel from Athens, to Mykonos then to Santorini to Athens again then back home to the United States for nine day. They will be on a healing journey and making their mental health their first priority.

Athens is the capital of Greece. It was also at the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire. The city is still dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, a hilltop citadel topped with ancient buildings like the colonnaded Parthenon temple. The Acropolis Museum, along with the National Archaeological Museum, preserves sculptures, vases, jewelry and more from Ancient Greece.

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide experience a guided tour of Athens during which you will see the Greek Parliament building, The Monument to the Unknown Soldier with its kilted guards, the National Gardens, the Panathenian Stadium, and the Temple of Zeus. Visit the Acropolis and see the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, and the Propylaia.

Travel from Athens to Mykonos
Today we will travel by ferry from Athens to Mykonos. The hotel will provide us with a boxed breakfast. The ferry ride is approximately two hours. Upon arrival in Mykonos we will be meet by our english speaking guide. Note along our Black Girl Soul Adventure the number of people and the quality of service that is being provided to you during your healing and sisterhood journey.

In lieu of waiting aimlessly for hours to check into our hotel we have arranged for our Introductory tour of Mykonos once we first arrive. This will allow us to meet the island before the other tourist awake.

Once our luggage is safely loaded on the transfer we will start by walking the small and narrow streets of Mykonos Town, walking past the Labyrinth of the old town, port, Churches, the famous windmills and Petros The Pelican,   the mascot of Mykonos. Then, explore the island by bus, visiting some of the   most famous beaches and the interior. In the second main town of Mykonos, Ano   Mera, visit the monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century. Next   stop is Kalafatis beach where there is time to relax a little before going   back to town with a photo stop from a panoramic viewpoint along the way

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the port to board your ferry to Santorini. Mykonos – Santorini by Hydrofoil,

Half Day Island Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, experience a morning tour of Santorini's traditional villages, countryside and its most beautiful black sandy beaches. Pass by Megalohori and Pyrgos, with a short stop to stroll around and explore this traditional village. Then head up to Profitis Ilias, the highest point of the island. Continue to the famous black sandy beaches of the island, such as Perissa, Perivolos & Kamari. You will have some free time before returning to your hotel.

This trip was more than I could imagine. Like-minded women got together and shared some vital ways on how to take care of themselves, as women forget to do so often while taken care of everyone else. From the beginning we came together with an introduction of ourself and departed with a new found SISTETHOOD. The self meditation classes was amazing. Just to get intertwined with one self was something I had never experience . Entering a non judgment zone was also great as we were able to open up about some things that may have been holding us back. All I can say is I had a wonderful time and this is one getaway you do not want to miss.

The weekend was such a wonderful experience. As an invited guest, not previously familiar with the host/organizer, I wasn’t sure what to expect and ended up being very pleasantly surprised. A lot of thought went into the details of the event, the weekend was truly a self care event and a wonderful and inspirational gathering of beautiful black women!
