There is something about learning Muay Thai in the country where it began.
Over eight days in Chiang Mai, we train with experienced Thai teachers and explore movement through Muay Thai, yoga, mobility, recovery, and time outdoors.
Come with years of training or none at all.
You’ll learn how to stand.
How to move.
How to breathe under pressure.
How to hit something properly.
Then we eat, rest, explore Chiang Mai, and do it again.
A week in your body.
Thailand is a very good place to remember you have one.
Muay Thai is part of Thailand’s living culture.
We train with experienced Thai teachers who have spent years inside the practice ~ learning its technique, discipline, rhythm, and traditions.
Thai-led instruction
Pads, footwork, striking, kicks, knees, and clinch work
Individual attention within a small group
Training adapted to your experience and fitness level
Conditioning, mobility, and recovery
Time to understand the history and culture surrounding the practice
Beginners are welcome.
Experienced athletes will have room to work.
You will sweat.
You will repeat things.
Your legs will probably have opinions.
And somewhere between learning where to put your feet and throwing your hundredth kick, something begins to click.
Strength. Attention. Timing. Discipline.
Muay Thai teaches all four.

Land in Chiang Mai and let us take it from there.
We’ll meet you at the airport and bring you to our home for the week, where you can settle into your room, shower, have something fresh to drink, and give yourself time to arrive.
Later, we gather for a gentle welcome and introductions with your Thai trainers and the women sharing the week with you.
Then we come to the table for dinner.
Delicious Thai food. Conversation. A beautiful first evening together.
Tomorrow, we train.
We begin the morning with yoga, opening the body gently and preparing it for a new kind of movement.
Then the gloves go on.
Your first Muay Thai session begins with the foundations ~ stance, balance, footwork, punches, kicks, and the rhythm that connects them.
After training, we move into breathwork and meditation, giving the nervous system time to settle.
The afternoon is spacious.
A beautiful lunch.
Poolside rest.
Massage or bodywork.
Tea in the garden.
Time to simply be where you are.
Your first full day in Chiang Mai.
Let it arrive slowly.
We begin early, while the morning is still cool.
Skipping. Shadowboxing. Pad work. Breath.
Then we move deeper into technique ~ kicks, knees, combinations, and clinch work guided by our Thai trainers.
One-on-one coaching is available for anyone who wants more attention on a particular skill.
The afternoon is devoted to recovery.
Traditional Thai massage.
Fresh food and hydration.
Time by the pool.
A little quiet.
Training asks a lot of the body.
Today, we listen to it too.
We train in the morning with experienced Thai fighters, then step out of the gym and into another side of Thailand.
We’ll visit a local temple and spend half a day at an elephant sanctuary before gathering for a Thai cooking experience.
Back at the villa, the evening slows down.
A little reflection.
Meditation.
Then rest.
Training is only one way to understand Thailand.
We begin with yoga and mobility, giving the body time to open before training.
Then we build.
Combinations. Defense. Timing. Reaction. Sparring drills.
Technical sparring is available for those who feel ready, with the pace guided by experience and comfort.
The afternoon turns toward restoration.
A nourishing lunch.
Time by the water.
Thai massage or bodywork.
A slow walk through the surrounding countryside.
Space to rest and let the morning settle into the body.
Five days in, the movements begin to feel more natural.
So does your strength.
We begin with strength and conditioning, building stamina and supporting everything we’ve been learning in Muay Thai.
Later, we move outdoors for a guided nature walk and meditation ~ green space, mountain air, and time for the nervous system to settle.
The afternoon brings us back to the gym for another Muay Thai session, followed by time to shower, restore, and get ready for the evening.
When the local fight calendar allows, we’ll experience Muay Thai from the other side of the ring ~ watching Thai fighters compete live in Chiang Mai.
An evening inside a tradition we’ve spent the week learning to understand.
We begin with our final Muay Thai session.
Pads. Bag work. Team drills. A chance to feel the strength, coordination, and confidence that have taken shape over the week.
The afternoon belongs to Chiang Mai.
We’ll move through some of the places I love ~ beautiful local shops, artisan spaces, quiet cafés, temple grounds, and corners of the city that reveal themselves slowly.
There will be time to choose something handmade, sit over tea, receive a massage, or simply take in your final afternoon here.
That evening, we gather for our closing circle.
What moved you.
What you discovered.
What your body taught you.
What comes home with you.
Then we share our final evening together in Chiang Mai.
One last morning in Chiang Mai.
We’ll share breakfast, take a little time to reflect, exchange hugs and numbers, and let the week settle before heading home.
Airport transfers will be arranged around your flight.
For those who feel called to stay, we can help shape a few extra days in Thailand.
Leave slowly.
Some places continue traveling with you long after the plane takes off.
