This trip is for intermediate skiers and splitboarders who want mellow terrain with wide sea views.
You will spend a week in high alpine terrain. Secluded slopes. Fresh snow. Fjords stretching in every direction. Peaks shaped by long winters. Light that softens the entire landscape. Isolation is the norm.
Each day you travel through quiet, snow covered ground that few people reach. Some days mean steady ascents to clean summits. Other days offer couloirs, ridgelines and sharper objectives if the conditions allow. The terrain shifts. Your choices adapt with it.

You will travel through Arctic fjords and across steep mountain ground, ascending on foot and descending on sea facing slopes. This is suitable for experienced skiers or splitboarders who want quiet terrain and distance from established routes.
Average day:
Around 1000 vertical metres (3,280 feet) of ascent and descent. Four to six hours on the mountain. Two guides adjust the plan according to conditions and the group.
Challenge day:
If snow, weather and group capability align, we aim for steeper and longer routes. It is never tied to a fixed schedule but always considered.
How experienced should I be in the specific activities?
How fit should I be?
How much of an outdoor person should I be?
What kind of lodging should I expect?
Our accommodation is locally owned and closely tied to the landscape and community. Expect comfort without excess and hosts who know the area well. Nature sits just outside the door.
The base for the entire trip is in Nuvsvåg where you will get a clear sense of local Arctic life. You will stay in simple but comfortable cabins, each equipped with its own bathrooms and bedrooms with single beds.
This trip takes you through Finnmarks remote wilds, with routes adapted daily by our certified guides. Weather shapes the journey, so each day’s plan stays flexible. Our priority is to ensure safe, fresh tracks and an authentic Arctic ski experience.
Weather: Daytime highs range from -5°C to 0°C (23 to 32°F), with nighttime lows from -10°C to -15°C (14°F to 5°F). Inland and mountainous areas may see colder nights, but daylight extends to about 12 hours daily, giving you more time to explore.
Snow & Conditions: March brings longer days and mid-winter snowpack, offering reliable coverage from summit to sea. Shadier aspects hold cold, dry powder, while south-facing slopes soften in the sun as the seasons transition from winter to early spring.
