The original Mayhurst Plantation School House (c 1837) is completely restored with all modern amenities. The perfect place for a romantic stay. School was NEVER like this.

The Willis children likely sat through many a class in the "school house." Although they had the same fireplace, they didn't have central air and heat, a full bath, kitchen, and a queen size bed.

Restorations were completed in September 2004.

Guests can choose to enjoy all the amenities of the Manor House and enjoy the nights in the privacy and warmth of their own "class room" or the kitchen can be stocked for their own use.

Amenities Include:

  • Air conditioning

Reviews

This was an amazing weekend. The B and B was lovely...the owners were so sweet and accommodating. The food was outstanding...both breakfast and afternoon “snack.” Everything was well organized with freedom to opt in/out of activities. The wine tasting was great...3 very different wineries. And the yoga was perfect. We made some new friends, and can’t wait to do this again!
