Today we will explore the capital city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. It has old and new parts. We will start our sightseeing with a visit to old town. Hasti Imam complex with Barakhan madrasah of 16 Century, Mausoleum of Kaffal Shash, Mui Muborak library with Osman Koran of 7 Century, a unique holy book in Islam preserved from 7th century and brought to Uzbekistan by Amir Temur in 14 century. You will also discover new part of the city with its museums of Soviet era, Applied Arts museum with a collection of art and crafts of 19-20 Centuries. Enjoy riding one of the most beautiful metros .  You may finish the day with a visit to Opera and Ballet theatre of Tashkent named after Alisher Navoi. 

Day 2: Early flight to Urgench (estimated departure and  arrival  0700- 08:45).  Transfer to airport of Tashkent for a flight to Urgench. Pick up at Urgench   airport and be transferred to Khiva city 30 km. Your hotel is located in the   old town and where you can do walking tour of the whole town. Visit :   Muhammad Aminkhan madrasah, Madrasah Feruz or Muhammad Rakhimhan, Kalta Minor,   Kuhnya Ark, Islam Khodja minaret and madrasah, Juma mosque, Tash Hauli Harem,   and local bazar. Beside historical sites, you will visit galleries, museums,   shops and handicraft workshops of local masters. Most famous handicrafts in   Khiva are wood carving and silk carpet weaving. Overnight. 

After breakfast you will be transferred to Ayazkala yurt camp where you will discover ancient Khorezm. It has many ruins of ancient fortresses, kala, citadel. The area is called Ellik kala district which means city with 50 citadels. During 1-4 centuries AD it was the center of Zoroastrians, fire worshippers. You will be accommodated in a Yurt and spend the day walking to the ancient ruins, riding on camels and enjoy food in the yurt. Local folk music show can be arranged around the fire at the yurt at night.

After early breakfast you will be transferred to Bukhara city. You will drive through Kyzylkum desert and stop en route for a picnic lunch or can have late lunch in Bukhara. Evening walk in the old streets of Bukhara. Overnight.

Start a day tour in   Bukhara with Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Chashmai Ayub, Bolo Hauz mosque and   Afortress. Lunch break. After lunch break you can do walking tour in Bukhara   starting point is Kalyan Minaret and Mosque, then walk through old streets of   Bukhara till Laby Hauz complex. You will see Trade domes of Bukhara: Taki   Zargaron, Taki Telpak furushon and Taki Sarafon. Also Madrasah of Ulughbek   and Abdulaziz, Tim Abdullahan, Magaki Attairy mosque and at present it is   museum of carpet of central Asia. Nadir Divan Negi Madrasah and Hanaka of 18   C. Laby Hauz complex with its pond. Chor Minor Madrsah. Your hotel is located   in the old town near Laby Hauz complex. So you may need driver and car from   morning till lunch time and evening if you want to go to a local restaurant   in the city. Overnight.

After breakfast you will drive to Samarkand via Shahrisabz. The birthplace of Amir Temur. You will stop for 2 hours city tour and visit the empty tomb of Temur, mausoleum of Jahongir, his fathers and teachers graves and Kok Gumabz mosque built by grandson of Temur.  Arrive in Samarkand and overnight. 

Samarkand is the   Pearl of Orient. It was and old settlement called Afrosiab before Chingiz   khan’s invasion and it was totally ruined by his troops 12 C. Later in 14   Centruy it was rebuilt by Temur and became the capital of his empire which   included 27 countries in Asia. Now, present Samarkand has preserved few   monuments of that period, they are: Afrosiab site and museum with murals and   wall painting, Observatory of Ulughbek, Registan Suqre, Shahi Zinda complex,   Bibi Hanum mosque, Gur Emir Mausoleum. At 1710—1910 take train ti Tashkent. Overnight.   

Today you will return to Tashkent by train or by car depending on train schedule. Free afternoon for your own activities in the city and overnight.
