Mildred´s - Rock N Roll Walking tour - Afternoon tea

Breakfast at Mildred´s

One of London´s iconic restaurants, Mildred´s has been feeding the city since 1988 (originally on Greek Street). Now fully vegan, it is still a favorite among locals and visitors alike. https://www.mildreds.com/

We will be joined by Clare, aka The Little London Vegan ! https://www.instagram.com/thelittlelondonvegan/

Rock N Roll Walking tour

Then, we will walk in the footsteps of rock and roll royalty and visit the locations and venues where rock and roll legends played, recorded, performed, drank, caused trouble and hung out. Experience London's unrivalled music history through the eyes of our greatest ever musicians. Discover where it all began for mega bands such as The Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and more. Be amazed at the secret rock and roll landmarks concealed in plain sight all over central London.

Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea is a beloved British tradition that has evolved over the years. It is said to have been introduced by Anna, the Duchess of Bedford, in the early 1840s. She would get hungry in the late afternoon and started requesting a light meal with tea to be served in her room. Traditional afternoon tea typically includes a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and a variety of cakes and pastries. The sandwiches are often filled with cucumber, egg salad, smoked salmon, or other delicate options. Of course, we will enjoy a vegan version of all those goodies!

Since we will enjoy afternoon tea on the later side, there will be no dinner included today - so this is a great opportunity to see a show in the West End or head to a local pub, for example. Most pubs have good vegan options as well.

Breakfast at Mallow - free afternoon - dinner at Gauthier

Breakfast at Mallow

Today, we start off with breakfast at Mallow - indulge in a full English or a Kimchi croque monsieur, maybe? https://mallowlondon.com/

Borough market

After breakfast, we will have some time to check out Borough market, a favorite among London´s food markets.

Free afternoon

Enjoy this afternoon to visit the Tower of London, a museum, do some shopping or just enjoy a pint at a local pub.

Dinner at Gauthier Soho

When Michelin-starred French chef Alexis Gauthier went vegan a few years back, it raised a few eyebrows in the industry. When, in 2019, he announced that Gauthier Soho would be going fully vegan within the next couple of years, it caused a lot of fuss and seemed to delight and irk people in equal measure. In truth, the move wasn’t entirely surprising, given Gauthier’s long-standing interest in creating innovative vegetable-focused menus. His seven-course vegan tasting menu, Petit Dîner, has become something of a hit with diners of all dietary persuasions. With the headline-grabbing Salsify, a dish made with samphire, charcoal, nori and juniper hollandaise and other similarly creative wonders, such as shiitake caviar with tapioca, this is vegan fine dining at possibly its very finest. https://www.gauthiersoho.co.uk/
