Join us for 6 unforgettable days exploring some of the most iconic and remote riding the Victorian High Country has to offer.

From rugged mountain climbs and historic cattlemen's huts to alpine ridgelines, river crossings and legendary High Country pubs, this tour is designed for riders chasing real adventure in one of Australia's most spectacular riding destinations.

Our route takes us deep into the Victorian Alps, linking together a huge variety of terrain including forestry tracks, alpine trails, rocky climbs, winding mountain roads and remote bush camps.

Expect everything from flowing dirt roads and scenic mountain passes through to steep climbs, rocky terrain, river crossings and challenging 4WD tracks.

Each tour may vary slightly depending on weather, track conditions and rider ability, allowing us to make the most of conditions while delivering the best possible High Country experience.

Throughout the journey we'll camp in some incredible remote locations, share stories around the campfire, stop in at legendary High Country pubs and experience the unique history and character that makes this region one of Australia's premier motorcycle destinations.

Whether it's standing on top of Blue Rag taking in the endless alpine views, tackling the legendary Billy Goat Bluff Track, exploring Craig's Hut or winding our way through remote valleys and river crossings, this is a bucket-list adventure every dirt bike rider should experience.

Ride through towering alpine forests, camp beneath star-filled skies, wake up to crisp mountain mornings and spend your days exploring some of the most famous tracks in Australian adventure riding. This is the Victorian High Country at its best — remote, rugged and unforgettable.

What To Bring

  • Casual warm clothes for after days riding (keep it small and light)

  • Thongs or ultralight-weight shoes

  • Cash/card for souvenirs/pub meals/drinks etc

  • Basic toiletries

  • Hydration pack with some storage (Camelback Mule or similar is recommended)

  • Specialised dietary needs

  • Any personal medication/health requirements/sunscreen/insect repellent

  • Adventurous attitude

Riding Gear (Required)

We do not supply cold weather riding gear for this tour.

Please bring:

  • Quality off-road/adventure riding jacket

  • Riding pants suitable for cold and wet conditions

  • Thermal base layers

  • Waterproof outer layer or rain jacket

  • Warm gloves + spare gloves recommended

  • Neck warmer/buff/balaclava

  • Warm jumper or puffer jacket for camp

  • Beanie

  • Multiple pairs of riding socks

Camping Equipment (Required)

Due to alpine conditions, appropriate camping gear is essential.

Please bring:

  • Quality lightweight down sleeping bag rated for cold conditions
    (Recommended comfort rating of at least 0°C to -5°C) We recommend Mountain Designs Travelite 500 -5°C Limit Rating Down Sleeping Bag

What To Know

$2,000 security bond is required before departure. This is a temporary hold on your physical credit card (tap-and-pay or mobile payments are not accepted). The bond acts as security for any potential bike damage and will be released once the motorcycle is returned in good condition.

All riders must hold at least a learner motorcycle licence, agree to comply with our tour rules and regulations, and sign an indemnity form prior to joining the tour.

Our tours travel through remote regions where you may encounter challenging terrain, wildlife, deep water crossings, and limited facilities. Safety is our top priority, and Alrock Adventures reserves the right to adjust the route or itinerary at any time due to weather, road conditions, or operational requirements.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding unsafe, reckless, or disrespectful behaviour and reserve the right to remove any participant at any time if deemed necessary, including for medical or behavioural reasons.

Alrock Adventures accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or for any injury, accident, or illness sustained during the tour. Riders participate at their own risk and are encouraged to ensure their personal insurance covers adventure and off-road motorcycle activities.
