      Itinerary

      Day 1
      Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Vietnam! The immense population of Hanoi is immediately visible in its crowded streets that are packed with bicycles, tuk-tuks, motorbikes, cars, and pedestrians. It is absolute transit madness and really is an attraction in itself. You can pop a squat at a sidewalk cafe and be entertained by hours as you witness the spectacle of motorbikes whizzing by with goods piled up high. Navigating the maze of small alleys is how most people prefer to spend their time in Hanoi which is just as fun as any purpose-built tourist attraction.

If you're not too jet lagged upon arrival, you can explore the area as the hotel is conveniently located in the Old Quarter making it easy to explore on your own. Otherwise, you can just relax at the hotel's spa which offers foot massages, full-body herbal massages, rice scrubs, and facials; a nice way to unwind after your flight. There is also a pool with a spectacular view of the city to relax in or grab a drink on the rooftop bar at the end of the day.

      Included:

      • Activities: Arrival (at your own expense); Free time
      • Accommodation: Boutique hotel

Enlightening & memorable trip! I took away so much knowledge on the culture of Vietnam & Cambodia. The people, food, history, economy and historical sites. Temples in Cambodia were fabulous and worth every minute we spent there, regardless of the Spring heat. Our guides were fabulous and very knowledgeable. Loan in Vietnam was so accommodating and helpful on additional things to do on free time. And Dee taught me so much about the Cambodian family, food in restaurants where young Cambodians are learning to develop their talents and skills, ancient Buddhist temples, and traditional Cambodian dance. I've taken away so many memories. I am so grateful for this trip; it's been on my bucket list since COVID. Accommodations were beyond my expectations! I would highly recommend.

This trip far exceeded my expectations. I expected to be spending the daytime hours. Just waiting for the lights at night. This trip was worth it just for the daytime excursions. The lights were amazing. The company was great and our leader was amazing. Thank you globe drifters. I will be looking for my third trip with you

Noteworthy countries to visit, however, the 4 flights (3 domestic & 1 international) are a bit too much for the duration of this trip e.g., given the distance between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh -- travel by minibus would have been a better option (also, providing a chance to visit a few villages along the way). The local guides knowledge-base were not consistent throughout this trip and definitely could be improved.

A magical trip of a lifetime with a great tour guide, Marvil, and group of people. The activities were so much fun; the Aurora cabin was special & food was really good—even the reindeer! And the best part….we saw the Northern Lights 2 nights! 🥰
