Hoi An is known for its lantern-lit streets, riverside atmosphere, incredible local food, and famous tailoring scene. We’ll have plenty of time to experience it all! From basket boat rides and lantern making to local markets, street food tours, custom tailored clothes (optional), and exploring the charm of the Old Town, this add-on is the perfect slower-paced ending to our Vietnam adventure.

You must be 18+ to attend this trip. Women only.

Important note: If booking the Hoi An Supplemental Package, your departing flight home must be booked from Danang International Airport (DAD), or you must arrange your own airfare back to Noi Bai International Airport (HAN).

Today is a direct extension of Day 8 of our Vietnam: Hanoi, Pu Luong, Ninh Binh + Ha Long Bay.

For those continuing on with this Hoi An Supplemental Package, the adventure doesn’t end here! From Hanoi, we’ll catch a flight to Hoi An for a few extra days exploring another one of Vietnam's incredible cities. Lantern-lit streets, local culture, custom tailoring, incredible food, boat rides, and more!

• Domestic flight from Hanoi (HAN) to Danang (DAD)

• Airport transportation

Welcome to Hoi An! This morning is yours to relax, explore the town, shop, or get fitted for custom clothing (one of Hoi An’s most famous experiences).

In the afternoon, we’ll head out to explore the charm and culture of Hoi An, from local fishing villages and basket boat rides through the coconut forests to some of the town’s most iconic historic sites and markets.

Later, we’ll join a lantern-making workshop where we’ll create our own traditional lanterns before ending the evening with a peaceful boat ride along the Thu Bon River, releasing lanterns onto the water for good luck.

• Guided tour of Hoi An with English-speaking guide

• Basket boat experience

• Lantern-making workshop + river lantern release

For those who choose to join, there is an optional morning excursion to My Son Sanctuary, an ancient temple complex surrounded by lush mountains and one of Vietnam’s most important historical sites.

Anyone who does not join the morning excursion will have a free morning to relax, shop, explore Hoi An, or anything else you choose to do!

Everyone will have time this afternoon for final dress fittings and alterations if you choose to visit the tailors while in Hoi An. And in the evening, we’ll all come together for a local street food tour to experience some of Hoi An’s most iconic dishes and hidden food spots around the city.

Enjoy one final breakfast in Hoi An before spending the morning relaxing, shopping, or soaking in the atmosphere one last time.

Our driver will transfer us to the airport for flights home depending on departing flight times.
