As you ascend, the landscape transforms into a rugged, high-altitude wilderness with sweeping views of El Altar’s jagged ridgeline. As you climb, you'll pass high-altitude lakes and get panoramic views of the crumbling volcanic walls of El Altar. The final ascent leads to a stunning viewpoint at 4,400 meters (14,435 feet), offering an unforgettable perspective of the glacial remnants and hidden lagoons below. After soaking in the beauty of this isolated Andean wonder, return to Italian Camp for a well-deserved meal and a night of rest under the stars.
