Departure: 8 am approx.Return to City: 7 approx. Duration: Full Day. Difficulty: Low. COST PER ADULT ORIGINAL USD 212 // PROMO WETRAVEL USD 130COST PER CHILD (3 to 11 years) USD 169 // PROMO WETRAVEL USD 104 Every land has its own secrets but not everyone is chosen to know them. A lighthouse in a lonely cape, a mysterious sunken ship for 40 years, and a distinguished antique estancia are some of the icons that reveal the unknown stories of Tierra del Fuego. During the morning we go to the Provincial Route “A”, where we take a gravel road and visit the Estancia Rolito. This lovely ranch, that keeps the spirit of a family business based on sheep farming tradition, is the first ranch to open its gates to rural tourism. Here we take a pause for a delightful tea with home-made cakes and cookies. We continue heading towards the Atlantic Ocean and the San Pablo Cape. There, we hike up to an isolated mountain with an abandoned lighthouse at the end.   Climbing to the top of this beacon, our guests can appreciate The Desdemona, an abandoned ship from almost 40 years ago which invites us to sail through time. After exploring this mysterious giant, we visit local fishermen who will invite our guests to enjoy a home-made lunch with fresh fish at their house. This excursion may suffer variations due to weather conditions.  Activities: Visit Estancia Rolito. Hiking to the Lighthouse in San Cablo Cape. Visit The Desdemona ship. Lunch at Fisherman house.

Excellent company. We visited all the must-see sites, but in small groups for a more personal experience. Drivers were always stipt on time and excellent communication through whatsapp

Back in 2003 we did these excursions with a different agency. After 20 years we went back with my son his new family and his 2 boys ages 4 & 7. The boys love cars and SUV’s and we all love the Land Rover’s Defenders. So when I saw that we could still do the same off road excursion to the wild Tierra del Fuego on the Defenders, I booked this 4X4 excursion. We all enjoyed it to the max. It was an experience to never forget. We were 5 adults and 2 children so we were divided in 2 Defenders. Both drivers were excellent and the narrative about the region’s geography and history was of academic level. Due to recent wild fires in the region we could not do the ‘asado a la parrilla’ at the refuge. So they took us to a ‘Posada.’ the food was very good and the staff very friendly. We all enjoyed the walk by the 2 lakes, Fagnano y Escondido. Late-morning we had a morning snack with regional pastries and coffee or tea in the wilderness. Unfortunately due to bad weather -strong winds- we could not get on the canoes, but the trip was well worthy. The next day we went to the Penguin's Island. What an experience for the little ones! The penguins let us get quite close to them. We remained on the island close to an hour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about he lives and biology of the fauna. We also saw 2 seals close to shore and number of local birds including the Cauquenes. What an experience!!!! I was very fortunate to have been able to bring my family to this exclusive site on earth.
I had such a great time with the TiERRA team! They were incredibly helpful and responsive through the booking and planning and once I was in Ushuaia. The tours are great - you get to see a true local’s view of this beautiful part of the world. The guides are friendly and very knowledgeable, and these tours are thoughtfully designed. Many thanks to Aye, Christian, and Tommy for such a great experience! Would highly recommend!

Mateus was an amazing guide. Knowledgeable and so much fun. The experiences were fabulous and he had lots of knowledge. Food was excellent except for Kaiken Inn. Dinner on the second night was not edible but no one seemed to care. The lunch on the last day with Diane was fabulous. An absolute must and a great way to end the tour. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Very nice trip and very nice guide!
