We go in our modern minibuses in a northeast direction along National Route 3 & Complementary Route J, on the way to the legendary Harberton Ranch, always accompanied by our specialized guides providing the best information and evacuating any questions that may arise.
Once there, we will have a guided tour of the historic center and then we will sail from the Harberton dock to Martillo Island, a 15-minute ride, in a semi-rigid boat (ship suitable for navigation in the area - ZODIAK). On the island, we will walk for 1 hour between Papuan and Magellanic penguins, always with a guide, experiencing a unique adventure.
Penguins settle on the island during the summer, sharing their habitat with other birds, such as skuas (their main predator), petrels, cormorants, vultures, and South American terns.
Martillo Island, in the Beagle Channel, is part of the Harberton Ranch, and home to the Magellanic Papuan penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus).
Upon returning to the ranch, we will be able to visit the museum of birds and mammals for more information on the fauna of the area. On our return to the city of Ushuaia along route J, we will make a last scenic stop to see the flag tree. Icon of the place for adopting this form due to the action of the wind.
