My daughter enjoyed her school field trip.  

Weddington Middle School - Savannah GA. - Charleston, SC

My daughter enjoyed the trip and had a wonderful experience.

The tour was well planned and jam packed with historical stops and information, however the food was a huge disappointment and a missed opportunity.   

Daughter complained it was boring, however kids always state something is boring.  I pressed a little deeper and it appears she had heard that previous years the kids went to DC and that trip was awesome.   Little jealousy.    Additionally, she mentioned she felt she spent more time checking in/out of hotels than she did traveling to the hotels.  That seems odd.  Overall, not a positive experience for our 14 yr old.   

My 8th grader enjoyed the field trip to Washington, DC. He mostly enjoyed the time with his friends while seeing the sights. The hotel was dirty and not somewhere my child would ever wish to stay again. The food allowance was $15 for lunch and $20 for dinner. My child said the food was expensive and he didn’t have enough money to purchase a complete meal; therefore, he came home hungry and wanting to eat. The buses left on time for departure. On the return trip one bus broke down and caused a delay getting home. Overall, the kids were kept to a time schedule and saw lots of DC in three days. I’m grateful he was able to go on this overnight field trip. 

Weddington Middle School - Washington D.C.

Good trip for 8th graders to visit Washington DC. However it was very disappointing to the kids that they didn’t even drive past the White House or get up close to the Capital. And the hotel was disgusting. Eating at Union Station at rush hour is not a good option to manage hundreds of kids. 

My daughter had a good time see the sights in DC!  But her hotel room was very dirty.  There was a wet stain on her bed.  The toilet didn’t work and the tub was dirty.   She had to use  bottle water to brush her teeth bc the water out of the faucet was brown.  The only place she enjoyed her food was at the home place for George Washington.  


My kid had a wonderful time! She liked the bus journey and as well as the hotel accommodations.

Overall it was a very nice experience! Thank You.

Thank you for your review and I will address the situation with the hotel and restaurants.  I am so sorry your daughter's meals were not acceptable and accept our apology.  We have to rely on our vendors to supply special meals request and if they aren't met we are not happy either.  We will notify the hotel of your comment and expect them to do better or we will not be using them on any of our school trips.

Good things: lots of destinations, well-planned itinerary 
Improvements: room was dingy/dirty and food options were extremely slim— especially for a vegetarian -my daughter went hungry for a couple of meals..

Thank you for your review and as a tour operator we need your comments to improve our product.  It is extremely important to us to give a product that is safe and clean and we will  definitely share your impute to the Comfort Inn , Jersey Mikes,  and the Golden Coral Restaurant.  It is very difficult to find vendors/restaurants' that can handle such a large group of nearly 400 people since Covid has shut down so many of our  good vendors and suppliers.  We don't cut corners on cost to maximize our profit but try to keep the cost affordable for the parents to be able to send their child on these trips.

The choice of the Comfort Inn hotel and eating at the Golden Corral were ill considered. The hotel was dirty - chewed gum on the carpet right next to my bed to name a few aspects. The Golden Corral is disgusting, as evidenced by students throwing up right after eating the food. And students/ chaperones/ teachers needing a vegetarian or gluten free option from Jersey Mikes should not have to settle on a few pieces of iceberg lettuce, 3 tomato slices and 3 green pepper slices for dinner. Seems like you chose these options to maximize your profit. Do better.
