We arrive at our hotel and will drop off luggage.  We will check in if rooms are available, if not, we will leave our bags with the concierge and head out for a bite to eat.

“Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience" celebrates the 100-year anniversary of the legendary discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in Egypt's Valley of the Kings. Visitors will experience cinematic storytelling and soaring projection imagery as they venture into the Boy King's world like never before. Meet the gods of the underworld, study the ancient practice of mummification, and learn more about the Explorers who continue to unmask the mysteries of the Golden King's life.

Please note, "Beyond King Tut" is not an artifact exhibition, allowing the treasures from Tut's tomb to remain in their country of origin. Beyond King Tut goes BEYOND a traditional artifact display and uses the power of photography and multimedia to create a time traveling adventure of discovery! 

Please set your expectations - this is a small museum - only 1 floor despite it's large appearance from the outside.  The time spent in this museum will range from 60 -90 minutes.

Head back to hotel for some rest and relaxation before heading out to dinner.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and shopping in the bookstore this summer.  It is an awesome combination of good food for your palate and good books for your brain!

 Kramers first opened its doors amid the Bicentennial celebrations of 1976. At the time of its opening, it was the first bookstore/café in Washington DC. Over the years, through expansions, subpoenas, and innumerable neighborhood changes, much of our business has remained constant, notably our commitment to providing our patrons with access to the best books we can procure and to the most delicious, varied food we can produce. In addition to possessing a lively, convivial atmosphere, and a full-service bar, Kramers stages hundreds of book-related events each year, both in the store and elsewhere. From tourists to neighbors, college students to the political elite, there is something for everyone at Kramers!

Dinner is on your own - I will be requesting individual checks - hopefully the restaurant will oblige.  In the event that they won't, I will figure out what each person's tab is including at 20% tip and each person will be responsible for paying me via Venmo, Paypal, Zelle or Cash.  Please be prepared in case this happens.

There are walking tours and there are bus tours, but this unique eCruiser tour provides an entirely new perspective on the city of Washington, DC and its many famous landmark locations by the light of night.

There’s also the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the White House, Capitol Hill and the world-famous dome of the United States Capitol, plus the United States Supreme Court Building and the Library of Congress. Along the way, hear the historic stories and facts that make the city of Washington, DC one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. 

We will take an uber or taxi to and from the meeting point.  The cost of this transportation is not included in the cost of the trip.

After the nighttime monument tour we will hop in an uber or taxi to head back to the hotel.  Head off to dreamland or head to the hotel bar for a night cap!

Just a short walk from the hotel.  After breakfast we will return to the hotel and check out of our rooms.
