Join Ellie and Katie for a restorative weekend of yoga, nature, and connection at Longmeadow Farms, a peaceful sanctuary nestled just north of the Poconos in Pennsylvania.
Step away from the noise of daily life and settle into a serene landscape of open fields, wooded walking trails, and a tranquil lake perfect for swimming, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding. The property also features an outdoor pickleball court for a bit of lighthearted fun.
Longmeadow Farms carries a unique artistic spirit. Once home to a family of artists, the property has been lovingly reimagined with the addition of 3 striking geodesic concrete domes; one stand-alone and two as part of the larger main house. Much of the furniture is handmade, giving each space a warm, creative, and deeply personal feel. The accommodations are cozy and thoughtfully designed to support rest and inspiration.
We'll gather Friday late afternoon and ease into the weekend with an evening yoga practice followed by a warm, abundant vegetarian dinner. Think produce straight from the on-site garden and eggs from the neighboring farm. Each morning, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit will be waiting before practice, just enough to ease you in gently. Saturday begins with a morning yoga and meditation class, followed by a leisurely brunch once we're off the mat. You'll then have time to relax and explore the land — whether walking the trails, enjoying the lake, or simply unwinding in the quiet beauty of the farm. A light lunch is served midday, followed by more free time before we come back together for an evening practice and another nourishing dinner. And of course, there's always s'mores by the fire to end the night. On Sunday, we'll follow the same gentle morning rhythm — coffee, tea, and fruit before our final yoga session, then one last brunch together before packing up and departing around noon, grounded, refreshed, and reconnected to yourself and one another.
Come as you are, and leave feeling renewed.
Each Yoga practice will be tailored to the needs of the group and held outside (weather permitting). Morning sessions will generally be Vinyasa-based, while evening practices will be slower and more restorative. Expect hands-on assists, creative prop use, and techniques for self-massage and breathwork woven throughout.
All meals are included and vegetarian, prepared with care using as much produce from the on-site garden as possible — nourishing, delicious, and abundant. A whole two nights and three days of not having to think about what to eat, cook, or clean up!
Every meal is an opportunity to slow down, share good food and even better conversation. Our intention is that retreaters feel cared for and nourished.
Katie and Ellie met on their 300-hour training with The Sacred Fig in Portugal — though it turned out the universe had been arranging the introduction for a while. Katie had taken Ellie's class in DC without knowing it, and when they finally compared notes, they discovered they had grown up one town apart in Pennsylvania. Some things are just meant to be.
Ellie brings over 1,700 hours of training in yoga and massage into a practice rooted in intuition, anatomy, and artistry. She studied textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design, where a deep appreciation for pattern, rhythm, and repetition took shape — elements that now thread through her classes. For more than a decade, she has helped people reconnect with their bodies, guiding them toward greater ease, resilience, and confidence.
As an anatomy-informed yoga instructor, Ellie designs dynamic, intelligently layered sequences that build strength, mobility, and freedom. She blends functional movement and physical therapy principles with creative prop work, inviting students to explore what genuinely feels good in their bodies. Her classes carry a playful, Kula-inspired energy — structured yet spacious, challenging yet supportive.
Grounded in the belief that the body is a pathway to the mind — and that yoga ultimately serves the heart — Ellie places special emphasis on breath. She loves weaving in energizing practices like Kapalabhati to awaken clarity and vitality. Known for her thoughtful, hands-on guidance, she helps students refine alignment, deepen their breath, and experience meaningful, lasting transformation.
Katie is a 500+-hour Registered Yoga and Meditation Teacher trained through The Sacred Fig and a trauma-informed practitioner through the Prison Yoga Project. She has taught all over the world, from a remote island in the Philippines to a retreat center in New Zealand — working with students from their twenties to their nineties.
Her classes are breath-led and precise, rooted in ancient yogic tradition and built around a simple belief: that every person who walks in is more capable than they think. Katie's own practice has fundamentally shifted the way she moves through the world, and opening that door for others is at the heart of everything she teaches. She wants her students to leave having befriended their bodies — curious about what they are made of, and surprised by what they found.
Off the mat, Katie is most alive in nature — hiking, moving through wild places, surrounded by animals. She is drawn to the way the natural world cultivates awe and perspective, and that sense of wonder is very much woven into this retreat.
