Join the senior teaching faculty formerly from NYC's OM Yoga Center for a weekend of deep yoga designed to wake your body and calm your soul. Christie, Margi, and Sarah teach breath centered yoga that is alignment based and philosophy rich. With three teachers present you are sure to get personal attention and ideas for any modifications you need for your practice. All levels of yoga experience are welcome to join us for this exciting reunion.
Specifics for the weekend:
After checking in to Mayacamas around 4pm on Friday we will delve into a calming welcome practice to begin retreating. This will be followed by our first delicious healthy meal, with veggies plucked from the organic garden. All dietary restrictions will be honored.
Saturday will begin with meditation and pranayama (breath work) followed by a continental breakfast and then an active yoga practice. After lunch there will be ample time to hang out in the gorgeous jacuzzi, swim in the salt-water pool, take a hike, canoe on the lake, play horseshoe, croquet, read or nap! For those of you who wish to do an intense physical practice, there will be an early afternoon intermediate/advanced class. Late afternoon we will come together for a soothing restorative class followed by dinner and a campfire.
On Sunday after practice the retreat will culminate with a 12pm brunch. Everything is optional, and you will be encouraged to do what you need to restore and refresh yourself.
Room choices & prices:
Mayacamas Ranch has guest units and cottages situated in various buildings on the property. All beds at Mayacamas have 100% organic mattress and sheets. Each unit has its own temperature control system for your comfort.
Quad: $500 (sold out as of 9/28/16)
Dorm: $550 (double room with bathroom across the hall)
Double: $650 (If you are coming alone and want a dorm or double room, we will pair you with a like minded roommate)
Meals & snacks:
Coffee and tea will be available every morning starting at 6:30am. Mayacamas serves fresh and local food, even some from the garden outside of the yoga studio. Here are some sample menus:
