Transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, settle into your room. Perhaps you would like to rest or relax. Today we will have a welcome lunch/dinner where you will meet your sisters for this experience as well as a briefing on what to expect over the next several days. In the evening, we head to beach where we board a boat for a sunset cruise.
Have breakfast at the hotel. After a short break, we will have a guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO Heritage Site. During the tour, you'll learn about the history of Stone Town as well as Zanzibar in general while walking through the narrow alleyways Stone Town is known for. The tour includes stops at a traditional market, the site of a slave market, and more. After the tour ends, you make opt for optional tours such as a visit to Prison Island also known as Turtle Island.
After an early morning breakfast at the hotel, board a boat to one of the sandbanks off the coast of Stone Town/Zanzibar City. Here you have the opportunity to swim, snorkel, relax, and take lots of photos as you find yourself in awe of the beautiful waters that surround you on all sides. While on the sandbank, you will have a freshly prepared seafood lunch plus an assortment of fresh fruits.
Did you know that Zanzibar is home to the Red Colobus Monkey? This monkey is only found on the island. Here's your chance to see them in their natural habitat. You'll also have the chance to visit the spice farm where you will learn why Zanzibar is also known as "Spice Island". Not only will you learn about many spices you may know and love, but you'll also have the chance to sample and buy the spices direct from the source. Not only that, you get to drink fresh coconut juice while learning how they pick coconuts. It's a wonderful experience full of information and good taste.
What a great opportunity this day will be for guests. Meet and learn about the Maasai from the Maasai. Learn about their history, how they live, and how life is for them in today's world. Afterwards, transfer to the natural aquarium where you'll have a unique opportunity to feed and swim with the turtles. Following your time at the aquarium, visit Nungwi Beach before returning to Stone Town.
Today you are free to explore on your own. There are many activities you may want to participate in such as horseback riding from Kendwa or Nungwi, Safari Blue (snorkeling, sandbank visit, and lunch), Mnemba Island (snorkeling, swim with dolphins, and lunch).
