About this trip

 Open to Spring’s abundance with nourishing yoga practices in community with vibrant women. Spend four days and three nights exploring your internal reserves and recharging at Spirit House, a private oasis in the hills just north of San Francisco. Release the season of darkness, embody your gifts, and emerge into Spring with steadiness and balance. 


Mornings will begin with hatha flow yoga and meditation led by Elizabeth. Afternoons will offer space for solo time, hiking, one-on-one healing sessions, or connecting with other women. Late afternoon practices of therapeutic and yin yoga will shift us into modes of openness and receptivity. Evenings, we’ll be guided through sound immersion by Minna Sivola of Harmiaalto, which promotes deep relaxation and energetic harmony. Drift to sleep in your cozy room in the beautiful Spirit House after a soak in the hot tub, a sauna, or some stargazing. Aligning with rhythms of nature, our yoga practices will clear space for inner clarity.


All our practices will be supported by high quality, delicious food. All meals, prepared with love by Rachael Gorgestani, founder of The Cupboard, emphasize pure, healthy ingredients prepared to optimize digestion and enjoyment. Rachael’s organic, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals will be accommodated to support special dietary needs, and she will also lead us through a cooking class, offering recipes and tips to support seasonal health.


Our retreat space, Spirit House, is just thirty minutes from busy San Francisco, yet it shines with natural beauty and peacefulness. We will gather in the yurt for yoga and sound healing sessions, and the lodging in the main house is sweet and cozy, with lots of natural light. During free time, hike the miles of fire trails right out the door or walk the labyrinth. Soak in the spectacular view in the hot tub or detox in the sauna. The space itself at Spirit Rock is nurturing, and we’ll have it all to ourselves.

Getting There

Spirit House is a private retreat house located in Woodacre, CA, just thirty minutes north of San Francisco. Exact address will be provided to guests upon registration.

Before You Go

The retreat will begin at 5:00pm on Thursday, March 14th and end at noon on Sunday, October 14th.


Cancellation policy: I am honored to have you join this special retreat. If for any reason you have to cancel your trip, I want to work with you. If canceling before February 14th, 2019, a refund will be granted less the $500 non-refundable deposit. After February 14th, no refund will be granted. Payment is due in full by February 14th, 2019. If not paid in full by February 14th, your placement may be forfeited.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth, a Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist at home in the Bay Area. I am passionate about exploring the intersections of physical, mental, and emotional health. My teachings emphasize a strong body-mind-spirit connection and incorporate the traditions of Hatha, Restorative, Yin, and Therapeutic Yoga. Through yogic practices I will guide you to recognize and build upon your inherent wholeness. If I'm not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find me leading mental health groups or soaking up mother nature's wisdom through hiking, biking, climbing, or just being still.

An amazing experience that I will always hold dear in my heart!
This was a fantastic retreat! The location is beautiful, secluded and full of vistas and winding nature trails. The balance between activities and free time is perfect and Elizabeth is a gifted instructor. The food is spectacular and healthy. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to spend a few days focusing on their health and well being. I left feeling refreshed and relaxed with a sense of peace and inner strength!
I love taking yoga classes with Elizabeth ! She is very aware of where I am at emotionally and physically and she will adjust her asanas accordingly. Always options, always checking in with oneself. I very much like that she introduces mudras and breathing practices. She is solid, earthy, and a very great person !
